Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) has recently scored the upcoming crime drama Motherless Brooklyn. Radiohead member Thom Yorke has contributed an original song for the drama written and directed by Edward Norton who also stars in the movie, alongside Bruce Willis, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Bobby Cannavale, Cherry Jones, Michael Kenneth Williams, Leslie Mann, Ethan Suplee, Dallas Roberts, Josh Pais, Robert Ray Wisdom, Fisher Stevens, Alec Baldwin and Willem Dafoe. The movie follows a lonely private detective living with with Tourette Syndrome as he ventures to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend. Norton is also producing the project with Bill Migliore (Leaves of Grass, Thanks for Sharing), Gigi Pritzker (Drive, Rabbit Hole), Rachel Shane (Genius) and Michael Bederman. Pemberton has also collaborated with trumpet player Wynton Marsalis on his score. Yorke has made his film scoring debut on last year’s Suspiria, for which he also wrote an original song. Motherless Brooklyn is set to be released on November 1, 2019 by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Pemberton’s other recent projects include Danny Boyle’s Yesterday, which will be released in U.S. theaters on June 28 and the Netflix original series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, which is set to premiere on August 30.
