A soundtrack album has been released for the fantasy thriller American Fable. The album features the film’s original music composed by Gingger Shankar (Circumstance, Viper Club, Heartbeats, AWOL). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. American Fable is directed by Anne Hamilton and stars Peyton Kennedy, Kip Pardue, Zuleikha Robinson, Gavin MacIntosh, Rusty Schwimmer, Marci Miller and Richard Schiff. Will Blair and Brooke Blair are the composers of the upcoming crime thriller Three Seconds. The film is directed by Andrea Di Stefano (Escobar: Paradise Lost) and stars Joel Kinnaman, Rosamund Pike, Clive Owen, Common and Ana de Armas. The movie is based on the best-selling Swedish novel by Anders Roslund & Börge Hellström and follows a reformed ex-convict and former special ops soldier who gets himself incarcerated again in order to infiltrate the mob at a maximum security prison. ‘306 Hollywood’ Soundtrack Details

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary 306 Hollywood. The album features the film’s original music composed by Troy Herion (The Dog). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, October 5, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. 306 Hollywood is directed by Elan & Jonathan Bogarín and follows the filmmakers as they undertake an archaeological excavation of their late grandmother’s house. Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Coen Brothers’ western anthology movie The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. The directors’ regular composer Carter Burwell (Fargo, True Grit, Twilight, Carol, Three Billboard Outside Ebbing, Missouri) has composed the film’s original score. The album, which is expected to feature both the score and songs from the movie, will be released digitally and physically on November 16, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Stelvio Cipriani (1937-2018)

Stelvio Cipriani has passed away today at age 81. The Italian composer has scored over 200 movies and TV shows over an almost five decade-spanning career. Among his best known scoring credits are Umberto Lenzi’s Nightmare City, James Cameron’s Piranha II: The Spawning, Mario Bava’s A Bay of Blood and Rabid Dogs, Ovidio G. Assonitis’ Tentacles, J.Piquer Simon’s Pieces and Antonio Bido’s Bloodstained Shadow. His main theme for 1973’s The Great Kidnapping (La polizia sta a guardare) was featured prominently in Quentin Tarantino’s 2007 feature Death Proof.

Propelr Music has released as soundtrack album for the comedy drama Chasing the Blues. The album features the film’s original songs performed by Jonathon Linaberry, aka The Bones of J.R. Jones. Also included are tracks by Peg Leg Howell, Buddy & Ella Johnson, Sylvester Weaver, Cecil Otter and Mississippi John Hurt. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Chasing the Blues is co-written and directed by Scott Smith and stars Grant Rosenmeyer, Ronald L. Conner, Jon Lovitz, Steve Guttenberg, Chelsea Tavares and Anna Maria Horsford. The movie follows two rival record collectors as they conspire against each other to dupe an old lady out of a rare but cursed blues record, O Death Where Is Thy Sting?. Premiering tonight is the new CBS comedy drama God Friended Me created by Steven Lilien &  Bryan Wynbrandt and starring Brandon Micheal Hall, Joe Morton, Suraj Sharma, Violett Beane and Javicia Leslie. The show’s original music is composed by Mike Suby (The Butterfly Effect, The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, Kyle XY). Jones, Jessica ‘Jess Hilarious’ Moore and Sinbad. Derryck ‘Big Tank’ Thornton (My Wife and Kids) is composing the show’s original music. The series, which centers on a newly single father who attempts to make a new start in life on the West Side of Chicago with the assistance of his best friend, younger brother and father, will air Sunday nights on Fox. ‘Redcon-1’ Soundtrack Released

Filmtrax has released a soundtrack album for the British horror thriller Redcon-1. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ian Arber (I Am Bolt, Scott and Sid, My Name Is Lenny). Redcon-1 is directed by Chee Keong Cheung and stars Katarina Waters, Mark Strange, Carlos Gallardo, Akira Koieyama, Oris Erhuero, Martyn Ford, Joshua Dickinson and Michael Sheehan. The movie follows a team of soldiers must battle through a zombie filled Britain in a race against time to find a cure. The thriller just opened this weekend in theaters in the UK. Academy Award-winning composer Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Billy Elliot, Quills, Proof) is making his feature directorial debut on the upcoming British comedy The Thin Man. He is co-directing the project with John Paul Davidson. The movie starring Ciaran Hinds, Stephen Dillane and Maïwenn tells the story of a man journeying through France in a Fiat 500, chased by five angry men in a Citroën Dyane. Warbeck & Davidson also wrote the screenplay. Warbeck will also compose the score for the comedy, which is produced by Daniel-Konrad Cooper (Dead In A Week: Or Your Money Back) for Rather Good Films.  Read the rest of this entry »

Four new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the animated feature Smallfoot directed by Karey Kirkpatrick and starring Channing Tatum, Zendaya, James Corden, Common, LeBron James, Gina Rodriguez, Danny DeVito and Yara Shahidi. The director and Wayne Kirkpatrick have composed the film’s original songs and Heitor Pereira (Despicable MeMinionsThe Angry Birds Movie) has composed the film’s original score.
