Motown Records will release a soundtrack album for the Showtime original documentary Hitsville: The Making of Motown. The album features a selection of songs from the film by Motown artists including The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Jackson 5, The Isley Brothers, Four Tops & others. Hitsville: The Making of Motown is directed by Benjamin & Gabe Turner and tells the story of the legendary Motown Records, told through new and exclusive interviews with the label’s visionary founder, Berry Gordy, and many of its superstar artists and creative figures. The documentary will premiere on August 24 on Showtime.

The soundtrack of a pudgy white kid growing up in Sanford Florida. Like love, joy never ends. Watching and listening to this music, I was in tears. In the late 60’s, I so recall the Motown posters for shows coming to central Florida….I was 15 and 16, and never attended, a great regret in my life. Hitsville may be the most perfect portrait ever, a historic and grand depiction of timelessness……like wonderful art. Peace to all involved and thank you!! Tom
