Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:

Opening in most theaters is the action thriller Angel Has Fallen directed by Ric Roman Waugh and starring Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lance Reddick, Tim Blake Nelson, Piper Perabo, Nick Nolte and Danny Huston. The film’s original music is composed by David Buckley (The Good Wife, Jason Bourne, Papillon, The Forbidden Kingdom, The Nice Guys). Already playing in theaters since Wednesday is the thriller Ready or Not directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett and starring Samara Weaving, Adam Brody, Mark O’Brien, Henry Czerny and Andie MacDowell. Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, Crazy Rich Asians, Now You See Me) has composed the film’s original music. Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton, The Greatest Showman, The Raid series) has composed the original score for the upcoming Disney+ original movie Lady and the Tramp. The film is directed by Charlie Bean (The LEGO Ninjago Movie) and stars Justin Theroux, Tessa Thompson, Kiersey Clemons, Thomas Mann, Janelle Monáe, Yvette Nicole Brown, Ken Jeong, F. Murray Abraham and Sam Elliott. The movie is a re-telling of Disney’s 1955 animated classic about a pampered house dog and a tough but lovable stray who embark on an unexpected adventure and, despite their differences, grow closer and come to understand the value of home. ‘The Tomorrow Man’ Soundtrack Released

Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the romantic drama The Tomorrow Man. The album features the film’s original music composed by Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D, Dynasty, Designated Survivor). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Tomorrow Man is directed by Noble Jones and stars John Lithgow, Blythe Danner, Derek Cecil, Katie Aselton, Sophie Thatcher and Eve Harlow. The movie centers on the relationship between a man who spends his life preparing for a disaster that may never come and a woman who spends her life shopping for things she may never use. James Gray’s ‘Ad Astra’ to Feature Music by Lorne Balfe

Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Home, Terminator Genisys, Genius) is composing new music for the upcoming sci-fi drama Ad Astra. The composer’s score is being recorded at the Synchron Stage in Vienna. Balfe will receive an additional music credit alongside original composer Max Richter who finished recording his score earlier this summer at AIR Studios in London. Ad Astra is directed by James Gray (The Lost City of Z, We Own the Night, The Immigrant) and stars Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler and Donald Sutherland. The movie follows an astronaut as he travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. ’13 Reasons Why’ Season 3 Score Album Released

Paramount Music has released the third score album for the Netflix original series 13 Reasons Why. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s third season composed by Eskmo (Billions). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. As previously reported, Interscope Records is releasing a separate soundtrack featuring songs from Season 3 today. The label has also released score albums featuring Eskmo’s music from the first two seasons. The third season of 13 Reasons Why developed by Brian Yorkey based on the books by Jay Asher and starring Dylan Minnette, Katherine Langford, Kate Walsh, Brian D’Arcy James, Alisha Boe, Derek Luke, Christian Navarro, Brandon Flynn, Justin Prentice & Miles Heizer is premiering today on Netflix. Ramin Kousha to Score Ben McPherson’s ‘Radioflash’

Ramin Kousha has been tapped to score the upcoming dystopian thriller Radioflash. The film is directed by Ben McPherson and stars Dominic Monaghan, Brighton Sharbino, Will Patton and Fionnula Flanagan. The movie is set in a dystopian future, in which an electric-magnetic pulse strikes America, knocking out all the power and pushing the country into the Dark Ages and follows a tech-savvy teenager and her father as they flee the city, and seek refuge with her grandfather deep in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the action thriller Angel Has Fallen. Sony Classical will release a score album for the animated feature UglyDolls. The album features the film’s original score composed by Christopher Lennertz (Lost in Space, Horrible Bosses, Sausage Party, Agent Carter, Ride Along). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 23 and will be available to download/stream on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Atlantic Records has previously released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie, most of which were written by Lennertz & Glenn Slater. UglyDolls is directed by Kelly Asbury and features the voice talent of  Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Janelle Monáe, Bebe Rexha, Blake Shelton, Pitbull, Wanda Sykes, Emma Roberts, Wang Leehom and Gabriel Iglesias. ‘Downton Abbey’ Movie Soundtrack Details

Universal Music will release the official soundtrack album for the movie adaptation of Downton Abbey. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Lunn (The Last Kingdom, Grantchester, Jamestown, Shetland) who received two Emmy Awards for his work on the Downton Abbey TV series. Soundtrack Albums for Netflix’s ‘The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance’ Announced

Music.Film Recordings has announced two soundtrack albums for The Jim Henson Company’s Netflix original series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. The Volume 1 soundtrack features selections of the original music from the show composed by Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominee Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Steve Jobs, Ocean’s 8, The Man From U.N.C.L.E.) and the Volume 2 soundtrack features music by Pemberton and Samuel Sim (Awake, The Halcyon, Home Fires).  Both Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 albums will be released digitally on August 30. CD versions will be coming out on November 15 (click here to order Vol. 1 and click here to order Vol. 2). The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance directed by Louis Leterrier is a prequel to the classic 1982 feature (scored by Trevor Jones), and follows three young Gelflings as they inspire a rebellion against the cruel emperor when they discover a horrifying secret.
