The show is developed by Liz Heldens (Friday Night Lights, The Orville) based on Justin Cronin’s best-selling trilogy of the same name and stars Saniyya Sidney, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Caroline Chikezie, Henry Ian Cusick, Vincent Piazza, Jamie McShane, Brianne Howey, McKinley Belcher III, and Emmanuelle Chriqui. Dubois Records has released a soundtrack EP for Mike Leigh’s period drama Peterloo. The 5-track EP features the film’s original music composed by Gary Yershon who has previously collaborated with the director on his last couple of movies, including Happy-Go-Lucky, Another Year, as well as Mr. Turner, for which the composer received his first Academy Award nomination. The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio samples. Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Wormwood, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D) has announced that he is the new composer of the political drama series Designated Survivor. The show is created by David Guggenheim (Safe House) and stars Kiefer Sutherland, Kal Penn, Maggie Q, Adan Canto and Italia Ricci. Neal Baer (Under the Dome, ER) serves as the showrunner of the 10-episode third season. Soundtrack Album for BBC’s ‘Class’ Announced

Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for BBC’s Doctor Who spin-off Class. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed and arranged by Blair Mowat (Electric Man, Happy!). The soundtrack will be released digitally and on CD on December 7, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon (digital version) and here (CD version). A limited vinyl version is set to come out in early January. Class is created by Patrick Ness and stars Greg Austin, Fady Elsayed, Sophie Hopkins, Vivian Oparah and Katherine Kelly. The album features the original music from the 4-part drama composed by Etienne Forget (The Forest, Missions). Premiering in the U.S. this Thursday, November 8, is the British mini-series The Cry directed by Glendyn Ivin and starring Jenna Coleman, Ewen Leslie, Stella Gonet, Sophie Kennedy Clark, Asher Keddie and Alex Dimitriades. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Home, The Lego Batman Movie, The Crown, Genius) has composed the original music for the 4-part series. The drama premiered a couple of weeks ago in the UK on BBC and will make its U.S. debut on Sundance Now.
Premiering on Friday, November 9, is the Netflix docu-series Medal of Honor executive produced by James Moll, Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Jacqueline Levine and Brandon Birtell. The show’s original music is composed by Jasha Klebe (Planet Earth II, Diana: In Her Own Words). The series, which tells the true stories of eight recipients of the nation’s highest and most prestigious award: the Medal of Honor, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix. Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the biographical drama Bohemian Rhapsody directed by Bryan Singer and starring Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aiden Gillen, Tom Hollander and Mike Myers. The movie doesn’t feature an original score. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the film performed by Queen. Also opening wide is the fantasy adventure The Nutcracker and the Four Realms directed by Lasse Hallstrom and starring Keira Knigthley, Mackenzie Foy, Misty Copeland, Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren. James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, King Kong, The Sixth Sense) has composed the film’s score based on themes from Tchaikovsky’s classic 1892 ballet score.
