Three new movies are opening nationwide this week:

Opening in most theaters is the horror thriller The Turning directed by Floria Sigismondi and starring Mackenzie Davis, Finn Wolfhard, Brooklynn Prince and Joely Richardson. The film’s original score is composed by Nathan Barr (True Blood, Hostel, The Americans, Carnival Row). KRO Records & Sony Masterworks have released a soundtrack album featuring songs by Courtney Love, Lawrence Rothman, Empress Of, Mitski, girl in red & others. Click here for the full album details.

Also opening wide is the is action comedy The Gentlemen written and directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant. Chris Benstead has composed the film’s original music. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. ‘Color Out of Space’ Soundtrack Details

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi horror movie Color Out of Space. The album features the film’s original music composed by Colin Stetson (Hereditary, The First, Outlaws and Angels). The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 24 and physically on February 7. The CD version will be available for pre-order on Amazon within the next couple of days. Color Out of Space is co-written and directed by Richard Stanley and stars Nicolas Cage, Joely Richardson, Madeleine Arthur, Brendan Meyer, Q’orianka Kilcher, Elliot Knight, Julian Hilliard and Tommy Chong. The movie is based on H.P. Lovecraft’s classic horror short story and follows a man and his family who find themselves battling a mutant extraterrestrial organism as it infects their minds and bodies after a meteorite lands in the front yard of their farm.

Colin Stetson (Hereditary, The First, Outlaws and Angels) is scoring the Color Out of Space. The film is directed by Richard Stanley (Hardware, Dust Devil) and stars Nicolas Cage, Joely Richardson, Madeleine Arthur, Brendan Meyer, Julian Hilliard, Elliot Knight, Q’orianka Kilcher and Tommy Chong. The movie is based on H.P. Lovecraft’s classic horror short story about a meteor that falls to earth and lands on the property of a New England family with insidious, delirious, and psychedelic results.
