Alex Somers (Captain Fantastic, Aloha, Manhattan) has been hired to score the upcoming drama Honey Boy. The film is directed by Alma Har’el (Bombay Beach) and stars Shia LaBeouf, Lucas Hedges, Noah Jupe and Maika Monroe. The movie revolves around a child TV star and his ex-rodeo clown father as they face their stormy past through time and cinema. LaBeouf also wrote the screenplay. The full details of the score album for the animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Ocean’s 8, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, The Counselor). The soundtrack is set to be released digitally on December 17 by Sony Classical and is now available for pre-order here. A CD and vinyl version can be ordered as an import on Amazon. As previously reported, Republic Records will release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey & Rodney Rothman and starring Shameik Moore, Mahershala Ali, Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Liev Schreiber, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez and Lily Tomlin is opening in theaters nationwide this weekend.
