WaterTower Music has released a new soundtrack album for the HBO original series Game of Thrones. The album features selections of the show’s eight and final season composed by Ramin Djawadi (Pacific Rim, Iron Man, Westworld, A Wrinkle in Time, Clash of the Titans) who received his first Emmy Award for his work on the drama last year. Premiering on Tuesday, May 21, is the new CBS drama Blood & Treasure created by Matt Federman & Stephen Scaia and starring Matt Barr, Sofia Pernas, Michael James Shaw, Katia Winter, Oded Fehr, Alicia Coppola, James Callis and Mark Gagliardi. The show’s original music is composed by Kyle Newmaster (The Myth of the American SleepoverWhere Hope GrowsSomething Wicked).  Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains is attached to score the upcoming sci-fi action feature Salvage. The film is directed by Shane Dax Taylor (Bloodworth) and is set to star Anne Heche and Thomas Jane. The movie revolves around two couples fighting to survive on a houseboat as it moves down river in a post-apocalyptic America. Taylor also co-wrote the screenplay with Chad Law (The Hit List6 BulletsDrive Hard) and is producing the Wonderful Global production with Steven Schneider (InsidiousPet Sematary, Blair Witch). The track is written by Gavin Rossdale & composer Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2) and performed by Bush. The song is now available as a digital single on Amazon. Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the psychological horror thriller Ma. The album features the film’s original music composed by Gregory Tripi (Manhunt: Unabomber, RememoryThe Fix, Dark Places). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 24 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. It was announced today that acclaimed conductor Gustavo Dudamel will be guiding the baton for the film’s recording of Leonard Bernstein’s score for Steven Spielberg’s new film adaptation of West Side Story. As previously reportedDavid Newman (Anastasia, Ice Age, Serenity) will be arranging the Bernstein score for the new adaptation. Tony Award winner Jeanine Tesori (Broadway’s Fun Home and Thoroughly Modern Millie) will be working with the cast on vocals and Matt Sullivan (Beauty and the BeastChicago) will serve as executive music producer for the film.
