MovieScore Media has released has released a soundtrack album for the sci-fi drama Solis. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by David Stone Hamilton (88, The Jurassic Games). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A CD version is in the works from Perseverance Records. Solis is written and directed by Carl Strathie and stars Steven Ogg and Alice Lowe. RCA Records and The Null Corporation have released the songs from the Black Mirror episode Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too. The tracks On a Roll and Right Where I Belong, which were both originally written by Trent Reznor for Nine Inch Nails and adapted for the episode by series creator Charlie Brooker, are performed by Ashley O (played by Miley Cyrus in the show). The film directed by Tanguy de Kermel is based on the comic books created by Serge Bloch and the animated TV series of the same title and follows the title character as he is conscientiously seeking his first-ever superpower but is winding up empty-handed every time. Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi action comedy Men in Black: International directed by F. Gary Gray and starring Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Nanjiani, Larry Bourgeois, Rafe Spall, Emma Thompson and Liam Neeson. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, Alice in Wonderland) & Chris Bacon (Source Code, Gnomeo & Juliet). Deutsche Grammophon has announced the full details of John Williams‘ & Anne-Sophie Mutter‘s Across the Stars album. The album features the Academy Award-winning composer conducting new arrangements of some of his iconic movie themes, including pieces written for the Star Wars and Harry Potter movies, Schindler’s List, Memoirs of a Geisha, Far and Away, Sabrina & more, with violin solos by Mutter. Across the Stars was recorded at the historic Sony Pictures Scoring Stage in Hollywood and will be released on August 30, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
