Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the action comedy Stuber directed by Michael Dowse and starring Kumail Nanjiani, Dave Bautista, Iko Uwais, Natalie Morales, Betty Gilpin, Jimmy Tatro, Mira Sorvino and Karen Gillan. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton, The Greatest Showman, The Raid series, Arctic). Fox Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Check out our previous article for the full album details.

Also opening wide is the horror thriller Crawl written and directed by Alexandre Aja and starring Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper. Max Aruj & Steffen Thum (iBoy, Warning Shot) have composed the film’s original music. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Genius, Home) serves as the project’s score producer. ‘Darlin” Soundtrack Released

Hood River Entertainment has released a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Darlin’. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ali Helnwein (Hospitality). Also included are songs by Art Mechanix, Summer Camp, Dorian Electra, Zuri Marley, Chynna, K Rizz & London Jade, as well as a track by composer Ryan Shore (Prime, Star Wars: Forces of Destiny). Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Ultraman’ Released

Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix anime series Ultraman. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Nobuko Toda (Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater) & Kazuma Jinnouchi (Halo 5: Guardians). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Ultraman is directed by Kenji Kamiyama & Shinji Aramaki and stars Ryohei Kimura, Takuya Eguchi, Megumi Han and Hideyuki Tanaka. ‘The Farewell’ Soundtrack Released

Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the drama The Farewell. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alex Weston. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. The Farewell is written and directed by Lulu Wang and stars Awkwafina, Tzi Ma, Diana Lin, Zhao Shuzhen, Lu Hong and Jiang Yongbo. The movie follows a Chinese-born, U.S.-raised woman who reluctantly returns to Changchun to find that, although the whole family knows their beloved matriarch, has been given mere weeks to live, everyone has decided not to tell that herself. Mateo Messina (Juno, Blockers, Superstore) is composing the original score for the upcoming Netflix original movie The Wrong Missy. The film is directed by Tyler Spindel (Father of the Year) and stars David Spade, Lauren Lapkus, Geoff Pierson, Sarah Chalke, Nick Swardson, Jackie Sandler, Chris Witaske and Molly Sims. The comedy follows a man who meets his dream girl and invites her to his company’s corporate retreat. ‘Desolate’ Soundtrack Released

The album features the film’s original music composed by Nima Fakhrara (The Signal, Detroit: Become Human, The Pyramid, Crypto, The Girl in the Photographs). Soundtrack Album for Dan Gabriel’s ‘Mosul’ Documentary to Be Released

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Mosul. The album features the film’s original music written by Grammy-nominated British record producer and composer Photek (How to Get Away with Murder, Station 19, Gang Related). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, July 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Mosul is directed by Dan Gabriel and follows a diverse group of militias and security forces with conflicting interests which banded together in 2016 to free Mosul and its population of 1.3 million from the harsh rule of ISIS. Soundtrack Album for ‘Armstrong’ Documentary to Be Released

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Armstrong. The album features the film’s original score composed by Chris Roe (Mission Control: The Unsung Heroes of Apollo, Death of a Gentleman). Also included is the original song Flight of Fancy written by Neil Armstrong’s son Mark Armstrong and performed by the astronaut’s granddaughter Kali Armstrong. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 12 (click here to download the album). A CD version will also be available. Armstrong directed by David Fairhead and featuring the voice of Harrison Ford details Armstrong’s near-death experiences as a fighter pilot in Korea, his test pilot days, the drama and excitement of the Gemini 8 and Apollo 11 missions, and the challenges that followed his extraordinary fame. The album features the film’s original music composed by Max Aruj & Steffen Thum (iBoy, Warning Shot) and produced by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Home). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 12 and will be available to download here. Crawl is written and directed by Aja and stars Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper. The movie centers on a young woman who becomes trapped in a flooding house during a Category 5 hurricane and must battle against Florida’s most savage and feared predators.
