Composer David Holmes is reuniting with director Steven Soderbergh on the upcoming Netflix original movie The Laundromat. The film stars Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman, Antonio Banderas, Sharon Stone, Alex Pettyfer, David Schwimmer, Will Forte, Robert Patrick and Jeffrey Wright. The movie tells the story of the corrupt and secret world of financial crime that was exposed by the infamous Panama Papers leak. Scott Z. Burns (Contagion, The Informant!) wrote the screenplay and is also producing the project with Lawrence Grey (Lights Out), Gregory Jacobs (Edge of Tomorrow) and Michael Sugar (Spotlight). Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1981 horror thriller Ghost Story directed by John Irvin and starring Fred Astaire, Melvyn Douglas, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., John Houseman, Craig Wasson and Alice Krige. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the Universal Pictures production composed by Philippe Sarde (Tess, Quest for Fire, Lord of the Flies, The Bear), including almost 20 minutes of previously unreleased music. Premiering tonight is the docu-series Serengeti created by Simon Fuller and directed by John Downer who are both also executive producing the project. The show’s original music is composed by Will Gregory (Nowhere Boy, My Summer of Love) and features vocals by Lola Lennox. The series is narrated by Lupita Nyong’o and follow a cast of African wildlife, including lions, zebras, baboons and cheetahs, over the course of a year. Premiering on Wednesday, August 7, is Fox’s revival of BH90210 starring Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling. Brian H.
