Premiering tonight is the Showtime docu-series Outcry directed by Pat Kondelis. The show’s original music is composed by Hanan Townshend (Knights of Cup, To the Wonder, Semper Fi, The Vessel). The 5-parter examines the story of high school football star Greg Kelley who was arrested, convicted and jailed for sexual assault of a 4-year-old boy, and his supporters’ quest for truth and justice. Premiering on Wednesday, July 8 is the Australian limited series Stateless created by Cate Blanchett, Elise McCredie & Tony Ayres and starring Blanchett, Yvonne Strahovski, Dominic West and Jai Courtney. Cornel Wilczek (Glitch, These Final Hours, Nowhere Boys) has composed the show’s original music. The drama follows four strangers as they intersect at an Australian immigration detention center. George Kallis to Score ‘The Last Warrior: The Root of Evil’

George Kallis (Cliffs of Freedom, The Black Prince, Albion: The Enchanted Stallion, 93 Days) has signed on to score the two sequels to Disney’s Russian fantasy adventure The Last Warrior (Posledni Bogatyr). The first sequel, The Last Warrior: The Root of Evil, is directed by Dmitry Dyachenko and stars Victor Khorinyak, Elena Yakovleva, Ekaterina Vilkova, Konstantin Lavronenko and Evgeny Dyatlov. The project is produced by Disney CIS, Yellow Black and White. Kallis has previously composed the music for the 2017 original film and his score is available on Walt Disney Records. ‘Money Plane’ Soundtrack Details

A soundtrack album will be released for the action thriller Money Plane. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Bateman (A New Christmas, The Assault, A Girl Like Her). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, July 10 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Money Plane is directed by Andrew Lawrence and stars Adam Copeland, Thomas Jane, Denise Richards and Kelsey Grammer. The movie follows a professional thief with $40 million in debt and his family’s life on the line must commit one final heist – rob a futuristic airborne casino filled with the world’s most dangerous criminals. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the war drama The Outpost directed by Rod Lurie and starring Scott Eastwood, Orlando Bloom, Caleb Landry Jones, Kwame Patterson and Cory Hardrict. The film’s original music is composed by Larry Groupé (The Contender, Commander-in-Chief, Resurrecting the Champ, Nothing But the Truth, Straw Dogs). La-La Land Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score later this month. Also opening in select U.S. theaters and on VOD is the French drama The Truth (La vérité) directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda and starring Catherine Deneuve, Juliette Binoche, Ethan Hawke and Ludivine Sagnier. Alexei Aigui (The Young Karl Marx, I Am Not Your Negro) has composed the film’s original music. Music Box Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score when the movie opened overseas earlier this year. Mark Mothersbaugh, Albert Fox & John Enroth have composed the original score for the new HBO Max original series Close Enough. The show is created by JG Quintel and features the voices of Quintel himself, James Adomian, Danielle Brooks, Jason Mantzoukas, Jessica DiCicco and Gabrielle Walsh. The animated comedy centers on a married couple, their five-year-old daughter, and their two divorced best friends/roommates all living together on the east side of Los Angeles as they are navigating that transitional time in your 30s when life is about growing up, but not growing old. ‘No. 7 Cherry Lane’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Milan Records has announced a soundtrack album for the animated feature No. 7 Cherry Lane. The album features the film’s original music composed by director Yonfan, Yu Yat-Yiu and Chapavich Temnitikul. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, July 10 and will be available to stream/download here. No. 7 Cherry Lane is written and directed by Yonfan (Bishonen) and stars Sylvia Chang, Zhao Wei, Alex Lam, Kelly Yao and Daniel Wu. The film is set in the politically charged Hong Kong of the 1960s and tells the story of an English literature student who enters into a love triangle with the woman he is tutoring and her middle-aged mother. Soundtrack for Pixar SparkShorts’ ‘Out’ Released

Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack EP for Pixar SparkShorts’ Out. The 3-track EP features the film’s original score composed by Jake Monaco (Dumplin’, Let’s Be Cops, Keeping Up with the Joneses, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie) who has previously scored Pixar’s Lamp Life and Forky Asks a Question and served as the score arranger of the Pixar short Piper. Also included is the song Pink & Purple written and performed by Natasha Adorlee. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. ‘Big Dogs’ Soundtrack Album Released

T-65b Records has released a soundtrack album for the crime drama series Big Dogs. The album features selections of the original music from Season 1 of the show composed by Austin Wintory (Journey, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, John Wick Hex, Captain Abu Raed, Erica). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Big Dogs is created by Adam Dunn and stars Brett Cullen, Manny Perez, Michael Rabe, Lance Henriksen, Jeff Kober and Michael Richardson. The drama exists in an alternate reality of New York City, where businesses are shuttered, crime is rampant, black markets thrive and drugs are run via taxis and detectives use taxis for undercover teams trying to rein in the chaos. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season original music composed by Nathaniel Blume (The Flash, Arrow, Deception, 1968: The Year That Changed America). Disney+ has announced today that Danny Jacob is returning as the composer for the upcoming animated film Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe. Karey Kirkpatrick, Emanuel Kiriakou and Kate Micucci have written the movie’s original songs. Walt Disney Records will release the official soundtrack album on August 28, 2020. The film is directed by Bob Bowen and features the voice talent of Ashley Tisdale, Vincent Martella, Caroline Rhea, Dee Bradley Baker, Alyson Stoner, Maulik Pancholy, Bobby Gaylor, Olivia Olson, Tyler Mann, Povenmire and Marsh, David Errigo Jr., Ali Wong, Wayne Brady, Diedrich Bader and Thomas Middleditch.
