Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the movie musical Valley Girl directed by Rachel Goldenberg and starring Jessica Rothe, Chloe Bennet, Ashleigh Murray, Joshua Whitehouse, Mae Whitman, Mario Revolori, Judy Greer, Alicia Silverstone and Camila Morrone. The film’s original score is composed by Roger Neill (King of the Hill, Beginners, 20th Century Women, Like Father). Harvey Mason Jr. serves as the project’s music producer. Opening in select (drive-in and virtual) theaters and other pop-up venues is the documentary Spaceship Earth directed by Matt Wolf about a group of countercultural visionaries who built an enormous replica of earth’s ecosystem called Biosphere 2 in 1991. Owen Pallett (Her, The Box, Life) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score is in the works.
