Quartet Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 2001 action movie The Order directed by Sheldon Lettich and starring Jean-Claude van Damme, Charlton Heston, Sofia Milos, Brian Thompson and Vernon Dobtcheff. The album features the film’s original music composed by Pino Donaggio (Dressed to Kill, Carrie, Body Double, The Howling, Blow Out) and performed by The Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra & Chorus conducted by Natale Massara. The limited edition CD is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. Searchlight Pictures announced today that the upcoming drama Nomadland will feature compositions by Ludovico Einaudi (The Intouchables, This Is England, Samba). The film is written and directed by Chloé Zhao (The Rider, The Eternals) and stars Frances McDormand and David Strathairn, as well as real nomads Linda May, Swankie and Bob Wells. The is based on journalist Jessica Bruder’s 2017 non-fiction book Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century and follows a woman who, after the economic collapse of a company town in rural Nevada, packs her van and sets off on the road exploring a life outside of conventional society as a modern-day nomad.
