Are You Lonesome Productions will release a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age thriller What We Found. The album features the film’s original music composed by Sam Hirschfelder. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 4 and will be available to purchase on Amazon. What We Found is written and directed by Ben Hickernell and stars Jordan Hall, Elizabeth Mitchell, James Ransone, Yetide Badaki, Oona Laurence, Brandon Larracuente and Giorgia Whigham. The movie follows a group of friends who are starting their freshmen year at a tough public high school when their friend Cassie disappears in West Baltimore and they take it upon themselves to find out what happened to her. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album for the family comedy Aliens Stole My Body. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brandon Moore who previously scored the 2018 original movie, Aliens Ate My Homework. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here. Aliens Stole My Body is directed by Sean McNamara and stars Jayden Greig, Lauren McNamara, Dan Payne, Alex Zahara, Sean Quan, as well as George Takei as the voice of Phil the plant. Shout! Studios announced today that Academy Award nominee Diane Warren has written an original song for the upcoming documentary Stuntwomen: The Untold Hollywood Story. The track, entitled Without a Net, is performed by country music singer/songwriter Mickey Guyton, and will be featured in the April Wright-directed movie, which tells the untold story about the unsung professionals, their struggles on screen to perform at the highest level, and their fight off-screen to be treated fairly and equally. Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum (Stockholm, PennsylvaniaBird Karma, Don’t Look Deeper) has written the movie’s original score and Bonnie Greenberg serves as the executive music producer. WaterTower Music has released a new soundtrack album for the HBO original series Perry Mason. The album features the original music from the seventh episode of the show’s first season composed by Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, Malcolm X, 25th Hour, Inside Man, Red Tails). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon. The label has previously released the composer’s score from the first six episodes and will release a full soundtrack album following the season finale next week. BBC America announced today that Hans ZimmerJacob Shea and the team at Bleeding Fingers Music have created new compositions for BBC America’s upcoming television event Planet Earth: A Celebration, which highlights eight of the most extraordinary sequences from the Emmy-winning docu-series Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II. They have also rearranged the original scores from the two shows for the new TV special. The string section of the score is performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra, accompanied by Brit and Mercury Award-winning UK rapper, Dave, who performs on the grand piano.  Sir David Attenborough has provided new narration for the project. The show is created by Kathleen Jordan and stars Maddie Phillips, Anjelica Bette Fellini, Kadeem Hardison, Virginia Williams, Mackenzie Astin, Method Man, Myles Evans, Spencer House, Devon Hales and Shirley Rumierk. This past week, Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, 11.22.63, Queen of Katwe, Touching the Void) has recorded his score for the upcoming giant screen documentary The Arctic: Our Last Great Wilderness. The movie is written and directed by IMAX producer Myles Connolly (Enchanted Kingdom) and nature photographer and cinematographer Florian Schulz and features the first-ever cinematic account of the Arctic National Wildlife refuge, situated in the northeastern corner of Alaska, the wildest place left in North America. The film follows Schulz as he tracks the Porcupine Caribou herd on the longest animal migration on earth, and witnesses pregnant female polar bears denning along the coastal plain. Opening in select theaters today is the documentary Rebuilding Paradise directed by Ron Howard. The film’s original music is composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Gladiator, The Lion King, Inception) & Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Bad Boys for Life). A soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score for the movie, which also features Pearl Jam’s River Cross as its end credits song, will be announced soon.
