Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the horror thriller The New Mutants directed by Josh Boone and starring Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt and Henry Zaga. The film’s original music is composed by (The X-Files, Millennium, La Femme Nikita, Crazy in Alabama, Smallville). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the comedy drama The Personal History of David Copperfield directed by and starring Dev Patel, Tilda Swinton, Hugh Laurie, Peter Capaldi, Ben Whishaw, Paul Whitehouse and Gwendoline Christie. Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, Veep, The Lion Guard, Mickey Mouse) has composed the film’s original music. MVKA has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this year when the movie opened in the UK.
