‘Romulus’ Soundtrack Album Released

Octopus Records has released a soundtrack album for the Sky Italia series Romulus. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Mokadelic (Gomorrah, The Immortal, Sanctuary). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list and for audio samples. Romulus is developed and co-directed by Matteo Rovere and stars Andrea Arcangeli, Marianna Fontana and Francesco Di Napoli. The historical drama is set eight centuries before Christ in a primitive and brutal world where a man’s fate is decided by the merciless power of nature and the gods and tells the story of the foundation of Rome, as seen through the eyes of three people marked by death, loneliness and violence. Silva Screen Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1986 Irish horror thriller Rawhead Rex directed by George Pavlou based on the short horror story by Clive Barker and starring David Dukes, Kelly Piper, Niall Tóibín, Cora Venus Lunny, Ronan Wilmot and Donal McCann. The album features the film’s original music composed by Colin Towns (The Puppet Masters, Space Truckers, Foyle’s War, Maybe Baby, Doc Martin, Pie in the Sky). Because Music has released a soundtrack album for the French comedy drama My Best Part (Garçon chiffon). The album features the film’s original music composed by Olivier Marguerit (Dark Inclusion). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the full track list and check out audio samples. My Best Part marks the solo directorial debut of actor Nicolas Maury who also stars in the movie, alongside Nathalie Baye, Arnaud Valois and Laure Calamy. The dramedy follows a young man on the edge of a nervous breakdown who retreats to his mother’s home in the countryside after a series of romantic and professional setbacks in Paris. Director Dennis Dugan (Happy Gilmore, Grown Ups, Problem Child) has teamed up with singer/songwriters Keaton Simons and Noah Needleman to co-score the upcoming romantic comedy Love, Weddings & Other Disasters. The film is written and directed by Dugan (based on a story by himself, Larry Miller & Eileen Conn) stars Diane Keaton, Jeremy Irons, Maggie Grace, Diego Boneta and Andrew Bachelor. West Hall Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Turning Point. The album features the film’s original music composed by Adam Peters (Savages, Snowden, Icarus, The Yellow Birds, The Dissident). The film is written and directed by Chris Columbus (Home Alone, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Mrs. Doubtfire) and stars Kurt Russell, Goldie Hawn, Darby Camp, Jahzir Bruno, Julian Dennison, Judah Lewis, Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Tyrese Gibson. The family fantasy adventure comedy follows Kate Pierce, now a cynical teen, as she is unexpectedly reunited with Santa Claus when a mysterious troublemaker threatens to cancel Christmas. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Quills, Billy Elliott, Proof, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin). Intrada Records will release a new soundtrack album for the 2001 drama The Last Castle directed by Rod Lurie and starring Robert Redford, James Gandolfini, Mark Ruffalo, Clifton Collins, Jr. and Delroy Lindo. The 2-CD set features the complete original score from the DreamWorks Pictures production composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Planet of the Apes, Patton, Chinatown, Basic Instinct, L.A. Confidential), including previously unreleased music, as well as alternate tracks on the first disc and the classical source music (supervised by Goldsmith) and a remastered version of the 2001 original soundtrack album (released by Decca Records) on the second disc. Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Amblin Entertainment’s 1988 animated feature The Land Before Time directed by Don Bluth, executive produced by Steven Spielberg & George Lucas and starring Gabriel Damon, Candace Hutson, Judith Barsi and Will Ryan. The album features the expanded and remastered original music from the film composed and conducted by Academy Award winner James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, Aliens, Field of Dreams, Glory), including around 15 minutes of previously unreleased music. Also included is the original song If We Hold On Together written by Horner & Will Jennings and performed by Diana Ross.
