Sony Classical will release a second soundtrack album for the musical comedy Cinderella. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Capote, Onward, The Good Dinosaur, Girl, Interrupted, Little Miss Sunshine) and Jessica Rose Weiss (Dog Gone Trouble, Afterlife of the Party, Friendsgiving). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 3. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the album. Mateo Messina to Score Kay Cannon’s ‘The Pact’
Mateo Messina has signed on to score the upcoming comedy The Pact. The film marks the directorial debut of writer/producer Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect, New Girl, Girlboss) and stars Leslie Mann, Ike Barinholtz and John Cena. The movie follows three parents who, upon discovering that their daughters have made a pact to lose their virginities on prom night, go out and try and stop them before it’s too late. Eben Russell, Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle), and Brian & Jim Kehoe wrote the screenplay. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg & James Weaver (This Is the End, Neighbors) are producing the project with Hurwitz & Schlossberg and Chris Fenton (Chappaquiddick).
Jeff Cardoni to Score Netflix’s ‘Girlboss’
Jeff Cardoni is scoring the upcoming Netflix original series Girlboss. The show is created by Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect) and stars Britt Robertson, Johnny Simmons, Ellie Reed, Dean Norris and Alphonso McAuley. The comedy is inspired by Sophia Amoruso’s autobiography of the same title and follows a rebellious, broke anarchist who stumbles upon her passion of selling vintage clothes online and becomes an unlikely businesswoman. Cannon is also execute producing the project with Amoruso, Charlize Theron & Laverne McKinnon and Christian Ditter (How to Be Single) who is also directing several episodes.
