Paul Haslinger (Halt and Catch Fire, Underworld, Death Race, The Three Musketeers, Crank, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter) is the composer of the new Netflix original series The Irregulars. The show is created by Tom Bidwell (Watership Down) based on the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and stars Mckell David, Thaddea Graham, Jojo Macari, Harrison Osterfield, Darci Shaw, Clarke Peters, Royce Pierreson and Henry Lloyd-Hughes. Clément Ducol (Little Tickles, Maestro, I Wish Someone Were Waiting for Me Somewhere) is scoring the upcoming French drama Paris, 13th District (Les Olympiades). The film is directed by Jacques Audiard (A Prophet, The Sisters Brothers, Rust and Bone) and stars Lucie Zhang, Makita Samba, Jehnny Beth and Noémie Merlan. The movie is based on cartoonist Adrian Tomine’s collection of graphic short stories Killing and Dying and revolves around four young adults who are friends, sometimes lovers, and often both. Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross & Jon Batiste have received their first SCL Award in the Outstanding Original Score in a Studio Film category for their music for Pixar’s Soul at tonight’s 2nd Annual Society of Composers & Lyricists Awards. The other composers nominated in the category were James Newton Howard (News of the World), Ludwig Göransson (Tenet), Terence Blanchard (Da 5 Bloods) and Reznor & Ross were also nominated for their score for Mank. In the Outstanding Original Song for Visual Media category, Savan Kotecha, Fat Max Gsus & Rickard Goransson were honored for their song Husavik from the Netflix film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. Composer Max Aruj (Crawl, iBoy, Warning Shot) is reteaming with director Eytan Rockaway on the upcoming biographical crime drama Lansky. The film is written and directed by Rockaway and stars Harvey Keitel, Sam Worthington, AnnaSophia Robb, Jackie Cruz, Minka Kelly, John Magaro, David Cade, David James Elliot and Alon Aboutboul. The movie centers on infamous gangster Meyer Lansky, a contemporary of Bugsy Siegel, who enlists a young journalist to tell his story and is being investigated by the Feds who suspect he has stashed away millions of dollars over half a century. The film is directed by Dan Lindsay & T.J. Martin (Undefeated) and centers on the life and career of musical icon Tina Turner.
