Amazon Studios announced today that Will Gregory of Goldfrapp (featuring Adrian Utley of Portishead and Alison Goldfrapp) is set to score the upcoming BBC limited series Chloe. The show is created, written and directed by by Alice Seabright (Sex Education) and stars Erin Doherty, Billy Howle, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Jack Farthing, Poppy Gilbert, Akshay Khanna, Brandon Micheal Hall and Alexander Eliot. The 6-part psychological thriller follows a woman who compares herself to the picture-perfect lives on Instagram. Warp Records has released the opening theme and closing credits music from the new Netflix anime series Yasuke. Black Gold (feat. Thundercat) and Between Memories (feat. Niki Randa) are written by the show’s composer Flying Lotus and are now available to stream/download as a digital single on Amazon and other digital music outlets. Yasuke is created by LeSean Thomas and stars LaKeith Stanfield as the voice of the title character, alongside Takehiro Hira, Maya Tanida, Ian Chen, Gwendoline Yeo, Ming-Na Wen, Noshir Dalal, Paul Nakauchi, Darren Criss and Dia Frampton. The series tells the story of a samurai warrior of African descent in a fantastical alternate universe version of feudal Japan full of magic, mechs, and of course, swordplay. Charlie Rosen has composed the original score for the upcoming comedy Here Today. The film is directed by Billy Crystal who also stars in the movie, alongside Tiffany Haddish, Anna Deavere Smith, Penn Badgley, Louisa Krause, Nyambi Nyambi and Laura Benanti.  The movie is inspired by the short story The Prize by Alan Zweibel (The Story of Us, North) and centers on the unlikely friendship between a veteran comedy writer and a New York street singer. The film stars Ezra Miller in the title role, alongside Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton, Kiersey Clemons, Sasha Calle, Maribel Verdú and Ron Livingston. MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the family fantasy adventure Emily and the Magical Journey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joe Kraemer (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Jack Reacher, The Way of the Gun, Pandora, Comrade Detectives, Femme Fatales). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 30 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Emily and the Magical Journey is directed by Marcus Ovnell and stars Tipper Seifert-Cleveland, Jenny Lampa, Chelsea Edge and Harriet Slater. The movie follows a young girl who – after losing her father – wants to help her mother find happiness, when she finds a mysterious chest that transports her to a magical world, where she meets fantastic and mythical creatures that become her new friends. Composer Joseph Trapanese (Straight Outta Compton, The Greatest Showman, Lady and the Tramp, The Raid: Redemption, Arctic) is reteaming with director Joseph Kosinski on the upcoming Netflix original film Escape from Spiderhead. The sci-fi movie starring Chris Hemsworth, Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett is set in the near future and revolves around two convicts who confront their pasts in a facility run by a visionary who gives them emotion-altering drugs. The album features the original songs from third part of the show written by Nicolas Barry, Tomas Jacobi, Alejandro Saldarriaga and Rene Garza. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring the songs from the first two seasons last year. The movie is based on Jim Dent’s bestselling book of the same title and tells the true story of the Mighty Mites, the football team of a Fort Worth orphanage who, during the Great Depression, went from playing without shoes to playing for the Texas state championships.
