Music producer Rob Ellis (best known for his work with PJ Harvey) & Adrian Utley (of the electronic band Portishead) have teamed up to compose the original music for the upcoming British documentary Broken English. The film is directed by Jane Pollard & Iain Forsyth (20,000 Days on Earth, Neil Gaiman’s Likely Stories) and stars Tilda Swinton, George MacKay, Calvin Demba, Zawe Ashton and Sophia Di Martino. The movie is being described as a “portrait of the inimitable singer, songwriter and icon Marianne Faithfull.” Pollard & Forsyth also co-wrote the screenplay with Ian Martin.

Goldfrapp’s Will Gregory to Score Amazon’s & BBC’s ‘Chloe’
Amazon Studios announced today that Will Gregory of Goldfrapp (featuring Adrian Utley of Portishead and Alison Goldfrapp) is set to score the upcoming BBC limited series Chloe. The show is created, written and directed by by Alice Seabright (Sex Education) and stars Erin Doherty, Billy Howle, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Jack Farthing, Poppy Gilbert, Akshay Khanna, Brandon Micheal Hall and Alexander Eliot. The 6-part psychological thriller follows a woman who compares herself to the picture-perfect lives on Instagram. When the owner of an account she obsessively follows dies suddenly, she needs to find out why and assumes a new identity.
‘Arcadia’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for Paul Wright’s Arcadia. The album features the film’s original music composed by Portishead’s Adrian Utley & Goldfrapp’s Will Gregory. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 22, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Arcadia is directed by Wright and focuses around looking into our complex connection to the land we live in. The movie explores the changing seasons and the ways in which they affect our relationship with the landscapes we find ourselves in. The documentary premiered at last year’s London Film Festival and will be released in select theaters in the UK on June 21.
