Silva Screen Records has announced a digital release for the soundtrack album for the Sherlock episode The Abominable Bride. The album features the music from the feature-length episode composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate, Tomorrow Never Dies) & Michael Price (The Inbetweeners 2, Unforgotten). The soundtrack, which is set to be released digitally on March 31, was previously available as an online-order exclusive bonus CD with the release of the Sherlock Season 4 soundtrack. The download link will be added to this article soon. Silva Screen Records has previously released several soundtracks for the series. Adrian Johnston Scoring BBC’s ‘Cormoran Strike’
Adrian Johnston has been tapped to score the upcoming BBC limited series Cormoran Strike. The show is based J.K. Rowling’s bestselling crime novels, which she wrote under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, and stars Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger. The drama centers on a war veteran turned private detective operating out of a tiny office in London’s Denmark Street. The series comprises of The Cuckoo’s Calling, with three hour-long episodes and The Silkworm and Career of Evil, both with two hour-long episodes. Rowling is also executive producing the project with Neil Blair (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them), Ruth Kenley-Letts and Elizabeth Kilgarriff (Poldark, Call the Midwife).

Premiering on Wednesday, March 22, is the new Fox drama Shots Fired created by Gina Prince-Bythewood & Reggie Rock Bythewood and starring Sanaa Lathan, Stephan James, Helen Hunt, Richard Dreyfuss, Stephen Moyer and Aisha Hinds. The show’s original music is composed by Terence Blanchard (Inside Man, Malcolm X, The 25th Hour, Red Tails). Premiering on Friday, March 24, is the Netflix original movie The Most Hated Woman in America directed by Tommy O’Haver and starring Melissa Leo, Peter Fonda, Josh Lucas, Adam Scott, Juno Temple, Vincent Kartheiser, Rory Cochran, Michael Chernus, Sally Kirkland, Anna Camp and Alex Frost. Alan Azar (An American Affair) has composed the film’s original music. Soundtrack for Amazon’s ‘You Are Wanted’ Released
PantaSounds has released a soundtrack album for Amazon’s first German original series You Are Wanted. The album features the show’s original score composed by Josef Bach, as well as the songs from the drama by Chester Travis, Tina Pepper, Walking On Cars, Simon Hughes & more. You Are Wanted is produced by Matthias Schweighöfer who also stars in the show with Alexandra Maria Lara, Karoline Herfurth and Tom Beck. The 6-parter follows a hotel manager whose life is turned upside down following a mysterious hacking attack, putting him and his family in grave danger.
Sam Phillips & Eric Gorfain Scoring Amazon’s ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’
Sam Phillips and Eric Gorfain have scored the Amazon Studios pilot The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. The show is created by Amy Sherman-Palladino and stars Rachel Brosnahan, Michael Zegen, Alex Borstein, Tony Shalhoub and Marin Hinkle. The drama is set in 1958 Manhattan tells the story of Miriam “Midge” Maisel whose perfect life suddenly takes an unexpected turn. Sherman-Palladino has also directed the pilot and is executive producing the project with Daniel Palladino. Phillips has previously scored all episodes of Sherman-Palladino’s Gilmore Girls and last year’s Netflix revival of the series, as well as ABC Family’s Bunheads.
Michael Andrews Scoring Amazon’s ‘The Legend of Master Legend’
Michael Andrews has composed the music for the pilot episode of Amazon’s The Legend of Master Legend. The show is created by Micah Fitzerman-Blue & Noah Harpster (Transparent, The Motel Life) and stars John Hawkes, Dawnn Lewis, Shea Whigham and Anjelika Washington. The comedy centers around the life of Frank Lafount, a.k.a. Master Legend – a homemade superhero whose mission is to protect the people of Las Vegas from evil-doers. James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now, The End of the Tour, Smashed) has directed the pilot. Fitzerman-Blue and Harpster are also executive producing the project with Youree Henley (20th Century Women, The Bling Ring), Joshuah Bearman and David Klawans (Nacho Libre).
Soundtrack for Marvel’s ‘Iron Fist’ to Be Released
Marvel and ABC Studios will release a soundtrack album for Marvel’s Netflix original series Iron Fist. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Trevor Morris (Immortals, Olympus/London Has Fallen, Vikings, The Tudors, The Borgias). Also included is Anderson .Paak’s Come Down. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 17 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Iron Fist is developed by Chris Buck based on the Marvel Comics property and stars Finn Jones, Jessica Henwick, David Wenham, Jessica Stroup, Tom Pelphrey and Rosario Dawson. The series centers on billionaire Danny Rand who resurfaces 15 years after being presumed dead and, with the power of the Iron Fist, seeks to reclaim his past and fulfill his destiny.
‘Better Call Saul’ Score Album to Be Released
Sony Classical will release the first score album for the AMC hit series Better Call Saul. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Dave Porter (Breaking Bad, The Blacklist, The Disaster Artist, Preacher, Flesh and Bone). The soundtrack will be released within the next couple of weeks and is now available as an import CD on Amazon. The digital version will be available to stream/download here. Madison Gate Records has previously released a soundtrack featuring a selection of songs from the drama’s first season. Better Call Saul created by Vince Gilligan & Peter Gould and starring Bob Odenkirk will return for a third season on April 10, 2017.
‘Grace & Frankie’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records has announced the first soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Grace & Frankie. The album features a selection of songs from the show by artists including Aretha Franklin, Mavis Staples, Sufjan Stevens, Aaron Neville, The Mamas & The Papas, Nico Vega & more. Also included is the main titles theme Stuck in the Middle with You performed by Grace Potter, as well as four tracks from the series’ score by Michael Skloff and Sam KS. Netflix’s ‘Five Came Back’ to Feature Theme by Thomas Newman & Score by Jeremy Turner
Thomas Newman has composed the music for the main titles sequence of the new Netflix docu-series Five Came Back. Jeremy Turner has written the score for all episodes. The show is directed by Laurent Bouzereau and written by Mark Harris based on his best-selling book of the same title. The 3-parter is narrated by Meryl Streep tells the story of how Hollywood changed World War II – and vice versa, through the interwoven experiences of five filmmakers who interrupted their successful careers to serve their country: John Ford, William Wyler, John Huston, Frank Capra, and George Stevens. The features interviews with Steven Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola, Guillermo del Toro, Paul Greengrass and Lawrence Kasdan.
