Hulu’s ‘The Looming Tower’ to Feature Music by Will Bates
Will Bates is composing the music for the upcoming Hulu original series The Looming Tower. The show is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book of the same title by Lawrence Wright and stars Jeff Daniels, Tahar Rahim, Michael Stuhlbarg, Peter Sarsgaard, Wrenn Schmidt, Bill Camp, Louis Cancelmi, Virginia Kull, Ella Rae Peck and Sullivan Jones. The drama traces the rising threat of Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda in the late 1990s and how the rivalry between the FBI and CIA during that time may have inadvertently set the path for the tragedy of 9/11.
Hrishikesh Hirway Scoring Netflix’s ‘Everything Sucks!’
Hrishikesh Hirway announced on Twitter that he has composed the original score for the upcoming Netflix original series Everything Sucks!. The show is created by Ben York Jones (Like Crazy, Breathe In) & Michael Mohan and stars Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Peyton Kennedy, Patch Darragh, Claudine Nako, Sydney Sweeney, Elijah Stevenson, Quinn Liebling and Rio Mangini. The comedy is set in 1996 Oregon and centers on two colliding groups of high school misfits – the AV club and the drama club.
‘The End Of The F***ing World’ Soundtrack to Be Released
A soundtrack album will be released for the British comedy drama series The End Of The F***ing World. The album features selections of the original score and the original songs from the show composed by Blur’s Graham Coxon. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 26, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The first track, Walking All Day, is already available to download. The End Of The F***ing World is based on Charles S. Forsman’s comic series of the same title and stars Jessica Barden, Alex Lawther, Steve Oram, Gemma Whelan, Wunmi Mosaku, Christine Bottomley, Navin Chowdhry and Barry Ward. The series follows a budding teen psychopath and a rebel hungry for adventure as they embark on a star-crossed road trip.
Christian Henson Scoring ITV’s ‘Trauma’
Christian Henson (The Devil’s Double, Triangle, Black Death, Tommy’s Honour) has composed the music for the new ITV mini-series Trauma. The 3-part psychological thriller is written by Mike Bartlett (Doctor Foster, The Town), directed by Marc Evans (Snow Cake, My Little Eye) and stars Adrian Lester, John Simm, Rowena King, Jade Anouka and Lyndsey Marshal. The series centers on the lives of Dan and Jon, two fathers, whose lives collide when Dan’s son is stabbed and tragically dies in the trauma department under the care of Jon.

‘The 4/20 Song’ from Netflix’s ‘Disjointed’ Released
WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack for the Netflix original series Disjointed. The digital single features The 4/20 Song written by the show’s composer Joseph LoDuca (The Evil Dead, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, Ash vs Evil Dead) who recorded the track with the Hollywood Studio Orchestra and Singers. Also included is the song As Long As We Can performed by lead actress Kathy Bates. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. ‘Tangled: The Series’ Soundtrack Announced
Walt Disney Records has announced the first full soundtrack album for Disney’s Tangled: The Series. The album features the songs from the show composed by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Enchanted) and featuring lyrics by Glenn Slater (Galavant), including previously unreleased Set Yourself Free and Ready As I’ll Ever Be from the first season finale premiering this weekend. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 19, 2018. and will be available to download on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack EP featuring four songs from the show, as well as the end credits song More of Me by Natasha Bedingfield.
Soundtrack for Marvel’s Hulu Original Series ‘Runaways’ to Be Released
Hollywood Records will release the first soundtrack album for Marvel’s Hulu original series Runaways. The album features a selections of songs from the show’s first season by artists such as Francis and the Lights, Glass Animals, Billie Eilish, Sofi Tukker, Lizzy Land & more. Also included is the main titles theme by the series’ composer Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us, The Royals, The Neighbors), as well as the original song Gert’s Lullaby, which he co-wrote with Ariela Barer. The soundtrack will be available to download tomorrow, January 12 on Amazon and other digital music stores.
Matteo Zingales & Antony Partos Scoring HBO’s ‘Fahrenheit 451’
Matteo Zingales (The Hunter, Secrets & Lies) & Antony Partos (Animal Kingdom, The Rover) are reteaming with director Ramin Bahrani on the upcoming HBO original movie Fahrenheit 451. The film starring Michael B. Jordan, Michael Shannon, Sofia Boutella and Lilly Singh is based on Ray Bradbury’s classic novel of the same name, depicting a future where the media is an opiate, history is rewritten and “firemen” burn books. Bahrani (At Any Price, Goodbye Solo) also co-wrote the script with Amir Naderi (Vegas: Based on a True Story) and is executive producing the project with Jordan, Sarah Green (The Tree of Life, Mud, Loving, Frida), Alan Gasmer (Vikings) and Peter Jaysen (Fired Up!).
