Varese Sarabande will release the first soundtrack album for the Syfy original series Krypton. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Pinar Toprak (Captain Marvel, Fortnite, The Angel, The Lightkeepers). Soundtrack Album for Fox’s ‘Rent’ Live Television Event Announced
Sony Masterworks will release a soundtrack album for the Fox Live television event Rent. The album features the songs from the television adaptation of Jonathan Larson’s Tony Award- & Pulitzer Price-winning stage musical performed by Vanessa Hudgens, Brandon Victor Dixon, Mario, Tinashe, Kiersey Clemons, Jordan Fisher, Brennin Hunt and Valentina. Also included is Keala Settle’s solo performance of Seasons of Love. The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 1 and physically on March 1. Paul Englishby Scoring Acorn TV’s ‘Queens of Mystery’
Paul Englishby (An Education, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Luther, The Musketeers) is currently scoring the upcoming Acorn TV original series Queens of Mystery. The show is created by Julian Unthank (Doc Martin, New Tricks) and stars Matilda Stone, Olivia Vinall, Julie Graham, Sarah Woodwar, Siobhan Redmond, Andrew Leung, Rebecca Grant, Michael Elcock and Martin Trenaman. The British drama centers on three crime-writing sisters, and their 28-year old niece who use their extensive knowledge of crime to solve whodunit style murders in the picturesque English village of Wildemarsh.

Premiering tonight is the National Geographic original series Valley of the Boom created by Matthew Carnahan and starring Bradley Whitford, Steve Zahn, Lamorne Morris, John Karna, Dakota Shapiro and Oliver Cooper. The show’s original music is composed by Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things, Butterfly, Native Son). Premiering tomorrow, January 14, is the Fox drama The Passage developed by Liz Heldens based on Justin Cronin’s book series and starring Saniyya Sidney, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Caroline Chikezie, Henry Ian Cusick, Vincent Piazza and Emmanuelle Chriqui. Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, Star Trek: Discovery, The Night Of) and Jordan Gagne (The Rookie, Waco) are composing the show’s original music. Songs from National Geographic’s ‘Valley of the Boom’ Released
Sony Classical has released a soundtrack EP featuring a selection of songs from the new National Geographic original series Valley of the Boom. The 5-track EP includes tracks by Blondfire, Justine Bennett, Theron “Neff-U” Feemster, L.B.C, Langston Theard & Colton Fisher. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. As previously reported, the label has also released a full soundtrack album featuring the show’s score by Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein. Theme Song from Disney Channel’s ‘Kim Possible’ Movie Released
Walt Disney Records has released the theme song Call Me, Beep Me! from the upcoming Disney Channel live-action movie Kim Possible performed by the film’s lead actress Sadie Stanley. The track is an updated version of the theme song from the animated TV series of the same title, which was performed by Christina Milian. The song, which was originally written by Andrew Gabriel & Cory Lerios, is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. Listen to the full track after the jump. Netflix’s ‘Sex Education’ to Feature Original Score by Oli Julian & Original Songs by Ezra Furman
Oli Julian (Catastrophe, Cuckoo, Plebs) has composed the original score for the first season of the new Netflix original series Sex Education. The show also features original songs by singer/songwriter Ezra Furman. The comedy drama is created by Laurie Nunn and stars Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells and Kedar Williams-Stirling. The series centers on a socially awkward high school virgin who lives with his sex therapist mother and teams up with a rebel girl to form a school sex-therapy clinic.
Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘The Innocent Man’ to Be Released
BMG will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix docu-series The Innocent Man. The album features the show’s original music composed by Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Maniac, Beasts of No Nation, Maniac, Gleason, The Good Doctor). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 11 and will be available to download here. The Innocent Man is directed by Clay Tweel and focuses on two murders that shook the small town of Ada, Oklahoma, in the 1980s – and the controversial chain of events that followed. The series based on the best-selling non-fiction book of the same title by John Grisham features interviews with victims’ friends and families, Ada residents, attorneys, journalists, and others involved in the case.
‘The Orville’ – Season 1 Soundtrack Album Details
The track list of the first soundtrack album for the Fox series The Orville have been revealed. The album features selections from the original music of the show’s first season composed by Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Young Sherlock Holmes, Rescuers Down Under), John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Iron Man 2), Joel McNeely (A Million Ways to Die in the West, American Dad) and Andrew Cottee. The soundtrack will be released as a 2-CD set on January 22 by La-La Land Records and a digital version will be coming out from 20th Century Fox TV Records (click here to download). Rupert Gregson-Williams to Score HBO/Sky’s ‘Catherine the Great’
Rupert Gregson-Williams has been hired to score the upcoming HBO/Sky mini-series Catherine the Great. The show is written by Nigel Williams (Elizabeth I, The Name of the Rose) and directed by Philip Martin (The Crown, The Forger) and stars Helen Mirren in the title role, alongside Jason Clarke, Joseph Quinn, Gina McKee, Rory Kinnear, Richard Roxburgh, Kevin R. McNally and Sam Palladio The 4-parter is set against the politically tumultuous and sexually charged court of Russian empress Catherine the Great, who wielded supreme power throughout Russia for nearly half of the 18th century and follows Catherine at the end of her reign during her affair with Grigory Potemkin.
