The details of the latest soundtrack album for the Amazon original series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power have been revealed. The album features the original score from the fifth episode (entitled Partings) of the show’s first season composed by Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Outlander, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, Happy Death Day). The soundtrack is now available to stream exclusively on Amazon Music and will be also be released in other digital music stores in October following the premiere of the season finale. The label has previously released soundtracks featuring McCreary’s music from Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3 & Episode 4, as well as the Season 1 album.

Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Thai Cave Rescue’ to Be Released
Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s limited series Thai Cave Rescue. The album features the show’s original score composed by Austin Wintory (Journey, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, Captain Abu Raed, Grace, Abzu, The Banner Saga) and Susie Benchasil Seiter (orchestrator and conductor on Minions, Star Trek Into Darkness, Jurassic World & Fortnite). Also included are two versions of the song Keep Holding On performed by The Toys. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 23 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Thai Cave Rescue is created by Michael Russell Gunn & Dana Ledoux Miller and tells the true story of the Thai youth soccer team and their assistant coach are trapped within Tham Luang Cave, prompting a global rescue effort.
Nicholas Britell’s Main Title Themes from Disney+’s ‘Andor’ to Be Released
Walt Disney Records will release the first three tracks from Lucasfilm’s Disney+ original series Andor. Coming out a digital single tomorrow, August 21 are the main title themes from the first three episodes of the show composed by Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Nicholas Britell (Succession, Moonlight, If Beale Street Could Talk, Cruella, The Underground Railroad, Don’t Look Up). Dustin O’Halloran Scoring BritBox UK’s & Spectrum’s ‘A Spy Among Friends’
Dustin O’Halloran (Lion, Transparent, Like Crazy, Ammonite, The Old Guard, The Essex Serpent) has recently been scoring the upcoming Britbox UK/Spectrum limited series A Spy Among Friends. The show is created by Alexander Cary (Homeland, Lie to Me) and stars Damian Lewis, Guy Pearce, Anna Maxwell Martin, Stephen Kunken and Adrian Edmondson. The 6-part spy thriller is based on the New York Times best-selling book by Ben Macintyre and centers on the defection of notorious British intelligence officer and KGB double agent Kim Philby through the lens of his relationship with his MI6 colleague and close friend Nicholas Elliott.

The show is created by Steven Levitan (Modern Family) and stars Keegan-Michael Key, Judy Greer, Johnny Knoxville, Rachel Bloom, Paul Reiser, Calum Worthy and Krista Marie Yu. The comedy revolves around a dysfunctional cast of an early 2000s sitcom that is forced back together and must deal with their unresolved issues in today’s fast-changing world.
Kara Talve to Score Hulu’s ‘Faraway Downs’ for Bleeding Fingers Music
Kara Talve (Prehistoric Planet, The Simpsons) has been tapped to score the upcoming Hulu limited series Faraway Downs. The show is a new serialized and expanded version of Baz Luhrmann’s 2008 feature Australia scored by David Hirschfelder and starring Nicole Kidman & Hugh Jackman. Talve is composing and recording a new score for the 6-part drama, which tells the story of an English aristocrat who inherits the titular cattle ranch in Australia following the death of her husband and reluctantly joins forces with a rough-hewn cattle drover to protect her property when a group of Australian cattle barons plot to take her land.
David Arnold Scoring BBC’s & Netflix’s ‘Inside Man’
David Arnold (Casino Royale, Independence Day, Stargate, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough) has composed the original music for the new BBC/Netflix limited series Inside Man. The show is created and written by Steven Moffat (Doctor Who, The Adventures of Tintin) and stars Stanley Tucci, David Tennant, Dolly Wells, Lydia West, Lyndsey Marshal, Atkins Estimond, Tilly Vosburgh, Mark Quarterly, Louis Oliver, Kate Dickie and Dylan Baker. The 4-part thriller follows the intertwining stories of a prisoner on death row in the U.S., a journalist on a train in England and a vicar in a quiet little village.
Daniel James Chan Scoring NBC’s ‘Quantum Leap’ Reboot
Daniel James Chan (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Emergence) is the composer of the new NBC drama Quantum Leap. The show is based on the Don Bellisario-created late 80s/early 90s series of the same title and stars Raymond Lee, Caitlin Bassett, Ernie Hudson, Mason Alexander Park and Nanrisa Lee. The sci-fi drama takes place nearly 30 years after Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished and follows a team has been assembled to restart the project in hope of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.
