Platoon has released a new soundtrack EP for the Apple TV+ original animated series Harriet the Spy. The 6-track EP features Kilo Kish’s cover of James Brown’s I Got You (I Feel Good), Alex Lahey’s rendition of Shirley Ellis’ The Name Game, as well as songs performed by Sleater-Kinney, Aloe Blacc, Anna Waronker (who is also composing the show’s score) and The Linda Lindas. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to all tracks below. Dubois Records will release a soundtrack album for the British Paramount+ original series No Escape. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, The Tourist, The Serpent, Ripper Street, The Widow, Primeval, Baptiste). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 7 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. No Escape is written by Kris Mrska based on Lucy Clarke’s novel of the same name and stars Abigail Lawrie, Rhianne Barreto, Sean Keenan, Jay Ryan, Narayan David Hecter, Colette Dalal Tchantcho, Susie Porter, Elmo Anton Stratz, Josh McConville and Jake Macapagal.
Soundtrack Album for ‘The Munsters’ TV Series Announced
La-La Land Records has announced The Munsters: Television Music of Jack Marshall, a new album featuring the television scores of composer Jack Marshall (Thunder Road, Munster, Go Home). The 2-CD set, which is being released as part of the label’s Universal Pictures Film Music Classics Collection, features selections of the composer’s music from the 1960s comedy classic series The Munsters on the first disc. The titles on the second disc include the TV westerns The Deputy (which ran between 1959 and 1961), Wagon Train (1958-1965) and The Virginian (1962-1971).
Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Arnold’ Documentary Series to Be Released
Netflix Music will release the official soundtrack album for the streamer’s original documentary series Arnold. The album features the show’s original music composed by Christophe Beck (Ant-Man, WandaVision, Frozen, Waiting for Superman, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Shazam! Fury of the Gods) & Matthew Feder. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 7 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Arnold is directed by Lesley Chilcott and follows the multifaceted life and career of Arnold Schwarzenegger, from bodybuilding champ to Hollywood icon to politician.
Hania Rani Scoring Amazon’s ‘The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart’
Polish pianist, singer and composer Hania Rani is making her international television scoring debut on the upcoming Australian Amazon original series The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart. The show is based on Holly Ringland’s best-selling novel of the same name and stars Sigourney Weaver, Asher Keddie, Leah Purcell, Frankie Adams, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Alyla Browne, Xavier Samuel and Sebastián Zurita. The 7-part drama tells the story of a young girl whose violent childhood casts a dark shadow over her adult life.
‘Burden of Proof’ Soundtrack Album Details
All Saints Records will release a soundtrack album for the HBO documentary series Burden of Proof. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Chuck Johnson (Private Violence, A Chef’s Life, Somewhere South). Oli Julian Scoring FX’s ‘The Full Monty’ TV Series
Oli Julian (Sex Education, Catastrophe, Code 404, How to Build a Girl, Episodes) is the composer of the new FX original series The Full Monty. The show is written by Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours) & Alice Nutter based on the 1997 feature (for which Anne Dudley won the Academy Award in the Best Original Musical or Comedy Score category) of the same title and stars Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy, Paul Barber, Lesley Sharp, Steve Huison, Wim Snape and Tom Wilkinson who reprise their roles from the movie, as well as Talitha Wing, Paul Clayton, Miles Jupp, Phillip Rhys Chaudhary, Sophie Stanton, Natalie Davies, Dominic Sharkey, Arnold Oceng, Aiden Cook and Tupele Dorgu.
‘The Curse’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Released
Banijay Music has released a new soundtrack album for the Channel 4 comedy The Curse. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Marli Wren. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released an album featuring Wren’s score from Season 1 last year. The Curse is written by James de Frond, Tom Davis, Allan Mustafa, Steve Stamp & Hugo Chegwin and stars Mustafa, Stamp, Davis & Chegwin themselves, Emer Kenny, Geoff Bell, Michael Smiley andMathias Junge.
Weekly TV Music Roundup (June 4, 2023)
Premiering tonight is the HBO original series The Idol created by Sam Levinson & Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye (who also provided original music to the show, alongside Mike Dean) & Reza Fahim and starring The Weeknd himself, Lily-Rose Depp and Troye Sivan. Manish Raval & Tom Wolfe serve as the drama’s music supervisors. Republic Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the songs by The Weeknd & others later this month. Also premiering in the U.S. today is the British sci-fi series The Lazarus Project created by Joe Barton and starring Paapa Essiedu, Anjli Mohindra, Tom Burke and Caroline Quentin. Ben Lukas Boysen (Beat, The Collini Case) & Paul Emmerich are composing the show’s original music. SATV has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score last year when the drama premiered in the UK on Sky Max and NOW.
