Redrocca has released a soundtrack album for the BBC documentary series Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland. The album features the show’s original music composed by Simon Russell (Smash & Grab: The Story of the Pink Panthers, Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer, Afghan Star, Once Upon a Time in Iraq). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples. Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland is directed by James Bluemel and combines personal accounts with archive footage to tell the story of the people who lived through The Trouble and are still dealing with its legacies today.

Weekly TV Music Roundup (June 11, 2023)
Premiering on Wednesday, June 14, is the FX original series The Full Monty written by Simon Beaufoy & Alice Nutter based on the 1997 feature of the same name and starring Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy, Lesley Sharp, Paul Barber, Talitha Wing, Miles Jupp, Steve Huison, Paul Clayton, Wim Snape and Tom Wilkinson. The show’s original music is composed by Oli Julian (Sex Education, Breeders, Catastrophe, How to Build a Girl, Code 404, Episodes). Also premiering on Wednesday is the Netflix nature documentary series Our Planet II narrated by Sir David Attenborough. Jasha Klebe (Planet Earth II, Animal, The Black Godfather, Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom, Malika: The Lion Queen) & Thomas Farnon (One Man and His Shoes) have composed the show’s original music. A soundtrack album will be announced soon. The follow-up to 2019’s Our Planet (scored by Steven Price) centers on the migratory patterns of numerous animal species as they embark on often life-threatening journeys to feed, breed/find new homes and will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
‘Safe Home’ Soundtrack Album Released
Helena Czajka (Blind Ambition, Unseen Skies, Revelation) has released a soundtrack album for the Australian TV series Safe Home. The album features selections of the composer’s original score from the show and is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Safe Home is created by Anna Barnes and stars Aisha Dee, Mabel Li, Virginia Gay, Antonia Prebble, Thomas Cocquerel, Chenoa Deemal, Hal Cumpston, David Roberts, Mark Mitchinson, Janet Andrewartha, Tegan Stimson, Nicholas Burton, Katlyn Wong and Yuchen Wang. The 4-part drama directed by Stevie Cruz-Martin revolves around a woman whose life gets turned upside down when she’s embroiled in a violent murder.
‘Human Resources’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Released
Netflix Music has released a new soundtrack album for the streamer’s original animated series Human Resources. The album features seven original songs from the Big Mouth spin-off’s second season composed by Mark Rivers (Parks and Recreation, Lucky Louie, Human Giant) and performed by voice cast members Keke Palmer, Nick Kroll, Rosie Perez, Niecy Nash, Franny London and Rivers himself. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released a digital single featuring three songs from Season 1 last year. Human Resources is created by Kelly Galuska, Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin & Jennifer Flackett and also stars Aidy Bryant, Randall Park, Maya Rudolph, David Thewlis, Brandon Kyle Goodman, Maria Bamford, Ali Wong, Bobby Cannavale, Pamela Adlon and Tim Robinson.
The Weeknd’s & Mike Dean’s Main Theme from HBO’s ‘The Idol’ Released
Republic Records has released a digital single featuring two tracks from the first episode of the HBO original series The Idol. Available to stream/download now is the show’s main theme, The Lure, composed by series co-creator/star Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye and Mike Dean, as well as the song World Class Sinner / I’m a Freak written by The Weeknd & Asa Taccone and performed by lead actress Lily-Rose Depp. Also listen to both tracks after the jump. Andrew Lockington Scoring Paramount+’s ‘Special Ops: Lioness’
Andrew Lockington (San Andreas, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, Frontier, Rampage) is scoring the upcoming Paramount+ original series Special Ops: Lioness. The show is created by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, Sicario, Hell or High Water) and stars Zoe Saldaña, Morgan Freeman, Nicole Kidman, Laysla De Oliveira, Michael Kelly, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, James Jordan, LaMonica Garrett, Austin Hébert, Stephanie Nur, Jonah Wharton and Hannah Love Lanier. The spy thriller is based on an actual US Military program and follows the life of a woman trying to balance her personal and professional life as the tip of the CIA’s spear in the war on terror.

The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Jason Lazarus (Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans, Phantom Halo, Are You Afraid of the Dark?) & Joseph Trapanese (Shadow & Bone, Oblivion, The Witcher, The Greatest Showman). The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 23 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Skull Island is created by Brian Duffield and features the voice talent of Nicolas Cantu, Darren Barnet, Mae Whitman, Betty Gilpin and Benjamin Bratt. The Legendary Television production follows a team of explorers shipwrecked in the South Pacific as they encounter a menagerie of fearsome creatures, including the giant ape who rules the island: Kong.

Easy Tiger Productions has released the first soundtrack album for the Australian TV series Colin from Accounts. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Matt Blackman (No Activity, Mr Black). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Colin from Accounts is created by Harriet Dyer & Patrick Brammall and stars Dyer & Brammall themselves, as well as Helen Thomson, Genevieve Hegney, Emma Harvie, Michael Logo and Tai Hara. The comedy revolves around two single, complex humans who are brought together by a car accident and an injured dog.
‘Steeltown Murders’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC drama Steeltown Murders. The album features the show’s original music composed by Sarah Warne (Humans, Des, Time, Hollington Drive, The Drowning, Dark Money) and performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, June 16 and will be available to stream/download here. Steeltown Murders is written by Ed Whitmore and stars Philip Glenister, Steffan Rhodri, Sharon Morgan, Keith Allen, Scott Arthur, Priyanga Burford and Siôn Alun Davies. The 4-part drama directed by Marc Evans depicts the hunt for “The Saturday Night Strangler” who terrorized Port Talbot in the 1970s and reveals how the mystery was solved almost 30 years later using pioneering DNA evidence.
