Guaranteed to top the weekend box office is Captain America: The Winter Soldier directed by Anthony & Joe Russo and starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Mackie and Robert Redford. The film’s music is composed by Henry Jackman (X-Men: First Class, Wreck-It-Ralph. Opening in limited release is the Under the Skin directed by Jonathan Glazer, based on a novel by Michael Faber and starring Scarlett Johansson. Mica Levi from the experimental pop music band Micachu and the Shape has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring Levi’s score earlier this week. ‘In the Blood’ Soundtrack Released
MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the action thriller In the Blood. The album features the film’s original score composed by Paul Haslinger (Underworld, Death Race) who previously collaborated with the movie’s director John Stockwell on such films as Into the Blue and Turistas. The soundtrack is being released today, April 1 an is now available to download on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. In the Blood stars Gina Carrano as a young woman whose husband goes missing during their Caribbean vacation and sets off on her own to find and take down the men she thinks are responsible for his disappearance. Cam Gigandet, Treat Williams, Luis Guzmán, Danny Trejo, Stephen Lang and Amaury Nolasco are co-starring.
Paul Haslinger to Score AMC’s ‘Halt and Catch Fire’
Paul Haslinger has revealed in a recent interview with 8Dio.com that he is scoring the upcoming AMC original series Halt and Catch Fire. The drama is created by Chris Cantwell & Chris Rogers and stars Lee Pace, Scoot McNairy, Mackenzie Davis, Kerry Bishé, Toby Huss and David Wilson Barnes. The show is set in the in the early 1980s during the rise of the PC era and follows an unlikely trio — a visionary, an engineer and a prodigy — who take personal and professional risks in the race to build a computer that will change the world as they know it. Jonathan Lisco (Southland), Gran Via Productions’s Mark Johnson (Breaking Bad, Rain Man, The Chronicles of Narnia) and Melissa Bernstein (Breaking Bad, Rectify) are executive producing the project.
Paul Haslinger Scoring ‘No Good Deed’
Paul Haslinger is scoring the upcoming thriller No Good Deed. The film is directed by Sam Miller (Luther) and stars Idris Elba, Taraji P. Henson, Henry Simmons, Kate del Castillo and Mark Smith. The movie follows a former district attorney turned stay-at-home mom and her two children who are terrorized and kidnapped after she invites a stranger into their home to wait for help after his car runs off the road. Aimee Lagos (96 Minutes) has written the screenplay and Will Packer (Think Like a Man, Obsessed, Stomp the Yard) is producing the project through his Rainforest Films company, alongside Lee Clay (Beautiful Boy). Haslinger has previously collaborated with Packer on Screen Gems’ 2010 thriller Takers.

Premiering tonight is the action thriller Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin-Laden directed by John Stockwell and starring Cam Gigandet, Xzibit, Freddy Rodriguez, Anson Mount, Kathleen Robertson, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Kenneth Miller, Robert Knepper and William Fichtner. The film’s music is composed by Paul Haslinger who has previously worked with the director on such films as Crazy/Beautiful, Blue Crush, Into the Blue and Turistas. The movie, which was originally entitled Code Name: Geronimo premieres tonight on the National Geography Channel and will next air on Friday, November 9. Paul Haslinger to Score John Stockwell’s ‘Code Name: Geronimo’
Paul Haslinger has been tapped to score the upcoming action thriller Code Name: Geromino. The film is directed by John Stockwell and centers on the military incursion into Osama Bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan from the perspective of a small contingent of Navy SEALS. The movie stars Cam Gigandet, Xzibit, Freddy Rodriguez, Anson Mount, Kathleen Robertson, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Kenneth Miller, Robert Knepper and William Fichtner. Kendall Lampkin has written the screenplay and Nicolas Chartier (The Hurt Locker, Killer Joe), Tony Mark and Zev Foreman are producing the Voltage Pictures production. Stockwell has collaborated with Haslinger on several of his movies before, including Crazy/Beautiful, Blue Crush, Into the Blue, and Turistas. The Weinstein Company has picked up domestic rights for Code Name: Geronimo. The film is currently in post-production and is awaiting a release date.

Three new movies are opening in wide release this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is action horror sequel Underworld Awakening directed by Mans Marlin & Bjorn Stein and starring Kate Beckinsale, Sandrine Holt, Michael Ealy and India Eisley. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack featuring the movie’s songs by artists including Evanescence, Linkin Park, The Cure, Ministry and Lacuna Coil this past Tuesday (click here for our announcement). A separate soundtrack album featuring the film’s original score by Paul Haslinger and three more songs will be released next Tuesday (click here for the full details and audio clips).
Also opening nationwide is the George Lucas-produced WWII drama Red Tails directed by Anthony Hemingway stars Cuba Gooding, Jr., Terrence Howard and Bryan Cranston. Terence Blanchard has written the score for the film. Sony Classical has released the official soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music digitally earlier this week and the CD version is scheduled to come out next month. Lakeshore Records has revealed the details of the score release for the action horror sequel Underworld Awakening. The album features the original score from the movie by Paul Haslinger who previously scored the original film in the series, as well as the 2009 prequel Rise of the Lycans. Also included are three tracks by Blue Stahli, Aesthetic Perfection and Angelspit. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 24, 2012 and the CD will be out on February 14.
