Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album for the thriller Crypto. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nima Fakhrara (The Signal, Detroit: Become Human, The Pyramid, The Girl in the Photographs). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Crypto is directed by John Stalberg Jr. and stars Beau Knapp, Alexis Bledel, Luke Hemsworth, Jeremie Harris, Jill Hennessy, Malaya Rivera Drew, Vincent Kartheiser and Kurt Russell. The movie follows a Wall Street banker as he connects a small-town art gallery to a global conspiracy.

Four new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the animated feature Missing Link written and directed by Chris Butler and starring Hugh Jackman, Zoe Saldana, Zach Galifianakis, Timothy Olyphant, Emma Thompson, David Walliams, Stephen Fry and Matt Lucas. Carter Burwell (Carol, Fargo, Twilight, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) has composed the film’s original score. Nima Fakhrara to Score John Stalberg Jr.’s ‘Crypto’
Nima Fakhrara is set to score the upcoming thriller Crypto. The film is directed by John Stalberg Jr. (High School) and stars Beau Knapp, Alexis Bledel, Kurt Russell, Luke Hemsworth, Jeremie Harris and Vincent Kartheiser. The movie revolves around a young anti-money laundering agent tasked with investigating a tangled web of corruption and fraud in his remote New York hometown, where his father and brother are struggling to maintain their family farm in a changing economic landscape.
Nima Fakhrara Scoring ‘Simple Wedding’ & ‘Roll Red Roll’
Nima Fakhrara has been tapped to score the upcoming indie romantic comedy Simple Wedding. The film is co-written and directed by Sara Zandieh and stars Tara Grammy, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Christopher O’Shea, Rita Wilson (who also serves as an executive producer), Maz Jobrani, Houshang Touzie, Peter Mackenzie, Rebecca Henderson, Aleque Reid, Angela Gibbs and James Eckhouse. The movie revolves around a millennial Persian girl navigating a cross-cultural relationship. Zandieh is also producing the project with Ray Moheet and Norman Aladjem (Firewalker) for Mainstay Entertainment.

Nima Fakhrara is currently scoring the upcoming drama I’m Not Here. The film is directed by Michelle Schumacher (3 Geezers!) and stars J.K. Simmons, Sebastian Stan, Maika Monroe, Mandy Moore, Max Greenfield, David Koechner, Harold Perrineau, Iain Armitage and Jeremy Maguire. The movie centers on a man who struggles with the tragic memories of his past and is striving for redemption.Schumacher also co-wrote the screenplay with Tony Cummings and is producing the project with Randle Schumacher and Eric Radzan for Rubber Tree Productions.
Nima Fakhrara to Score Frederick Cipoletti’s ‘Desolate’
Nima Fakhrara has been tapped to score the upcoming dystopian drama Desolate. The film is directed by Frederick Cipoletti and stars Callan Mulvey, Tyson Ritter, Mark Kassen, Juston Street, Will Brittain, Natasha Bassett, James Russo, Bill Tangradi and Jonathan Rosenthal. The movie revolves around a family of farmers living in a dystopian future during a severe drought who are troubled by a menacing stranger. Cipoletti co-wrote the screenplay with Jonathan Rosenthal. They are also producing the project with Jordan Foley (The Open Road).

The film stars Kal Penn, Claudia Lee, Kenny Wormald , Toby Hemingway, Luke Baines, Miranda Rae Mayo, Katherine Isabelle and Mitch Pileggi. The movie follows a celebrity photographer and his entourage who descend upon a sleepy community to investigate the bloody doings of a serial killer. Simon has also co-written the screenplay with Osgood Perkins (Cold Comes the Night) and Robert Morast.
