Viacom International has released the theme song from the new Paramount+ animated series Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Year. The track written by Eban Schletter, Mr. Lawrence, Kaz Prapuolenis, Marc Ceccarelli, Vincent Waller, Andrew Goodman & Luke Brookshier and performed by the show’s cast is now available to stream/download here. Viacom has also released the theme song from the new Nickelodeon puppet comedy series The Barbarian and the Troll. Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British/New Zealand mini-series The Luminaries directed by Claire McCarthy, written by Eleanor Catton based on his novel of the same title and starring Eva Green, Himesh Patel, Eve Hewson, Ewen Leslie and Marton Csokas. The show’s original music is composed by David Long (6 Days, McLaren, Ice). Club Champion has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last year. Soundtrack Album for Nickelodeon’s ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark?’ to Be Released
Viacom International will release a soundtrack album for Nickelodeon’s revival of the horror series Are You Afraid of the Dark?.The album features the original music from the show’s first season composed by Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Project Power, Straight Outta Compton, The Greatest Showman, Lady and the Tramp) & Jason Lazarus (Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 3 and will be available to stream/download here. Season 1 of Are You Afraid of the Dark? is written by BenDavid Grabinski, directed by Dean Israelite and stars Rafael Casal, Lyliana Wray, Miya Cech, Sam Ashe Arnold and Jeremy Ray Taylor.
Nami Melumad to Score Nickelodeon’s ‘Star Trek: Prodigy’
Nami Melumad (An American Pickle, Absentia, Miss Arizona) has been tapped to score the upcoming Nickelodeon animated series Star Trek: Prodigy. The show is created by Kevin Hageman & Dan Hageman (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu) and follows a group of lawless teens who discover a derelict Starfleet ship and use it to search for adventure, meaning and salvation. Kate Mulgrew will star as her Star Trek: Voyager character Kathryn Janeway. No other casting announcements have been made yet.
‘Henry Danger The Musical’ Soundtrack Released
Viacom International has released a soundtrack album for the musical episode of the Nickelodeon series Henry Danger. The album features the Broadway-style songs from the episode, which marks the return of the villainous Frankini who puts a musical curse over the town of Swellview, while Kid Danger and Captain Man are forced to find a way to stop him. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Henry Danger The Musical is created by Dan Schneider & Dana Olsen and stars Jace Norman, Cooper Barnes, Riele Downs, Sean Ryan, Ella Anderson, Michael D. Cohen and Jeffrey Nicholas Brown.
‘Tiny Christmas’ Soundtrack Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced a soundtrack album for the Nickelodeon original movie Tiny Christmas. The album features the film’s original music composed by Grammy Award nominee Ryan Shore (The Shrine, Prime, Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, Harvard Man, Julie’s Greenroom). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, December 15 and will be available to download on Amazon. Tiny Christmas is directed by Jonathan A. Rosenbaum and stars Riele Downs, Lizzy Greene, Graeme McComb, Panou, Patricia Drake and Matty Finochio. The movie follows a girl and her quirky cousin who are accidentally shrinked by one of Santa’s inept elves on Christmas Eve and must embark on a journey to un-shrink themselves.
Gabriel Mann to Score ‘School of Rock’ TV Series
Gabriel Mann has been hired to score the upcoming Nickelodeon original series School of Rock. The show is created by Jim & Steve Armogida based on the hit 2003 feature comedy starring Jack Black and centers on the misadventures of a down-on-his-luck rocker who poses as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school as he teaches his eccentric, unconventional and overachieving students to play and love rock ‘n’ roll. The show stars Tony Cavalero in the lead role. The Armogida Beothers (Crash & Bernstein) are also executive producing the Paramount Television production with the film’s director Richard Linklater (Boyhood, Dazed and Confused) and Scott Rudin (No Contry for Old Men, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Social Network).
‘The Legend of Korra’ – Book One Soundtrack Announced
Nickelodeon and Sony Music Entertainment’s Legacy Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the hit Nickelodeon animated series The Legend of Korra. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Jeremy Zuckerman of The Track Team (Avatar: The Last Airbender). The soundtrack will be released both digitally and physically on July 16, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Legend of Korra created and executive produced by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko follows the new Avatar named Korra, a 17-year-old headstrong and rebellious girl who continually challenges and bucks tradition on her quest to become a fully realized Avatar in a world where benders are under attack. Book One of The Legend of Korra premiered last year on Nickelodeon and will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on July 9.

Premiering on Tuesday, February 19 is the new CW drama Cult created by Rockne S. O’Bannon (Farscape, V) and starring Matt Davis, Jessica Lucas, Alona Tal and Robert Knepper. The series follows a journalist blogger and a production assistant, who investigate a series of mysterious disappearances that are linked to a popular television series. O’Bannon is executive producing the show with Josh Schwartz (The O.C.), Stephanie Savage (Gossip Girl) and Len Goldstein (Hart of Dixie). The drama’s original score is composed by Tim Jones who has previously scored the Schwartz-produced show Chuck, as well as the second season of Human Target.
