Paris Paloma has recorded an original song for the upcoming anime feature The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. The track, entitled The Rider, written by Phoebe Gittins (who co-wrote the project’s screenplay with Arty Papageorgiou and Jeffrey Addiss & Will Matthews) & composer David Long and performed by Paloma, will be featured in the movie directed by Kenji Kamiyama and starring Brian Cox, Gaia Wise, Luke Pasqualino, Miranda Otto, Lorraine Ashbourne, Benjamin Wainwright, Yazdan Qafouri, Laurence Ubong Williams, Shaun Dooley, Jude Akuwudike, Michael Wildman, Bilal Hasna and Janine Duvitski.
Soundtrack Album for CBBC’s & TVNZ’s ‘Mystic’ Released
David Long (The Luminaries, 6 Days, McLaren) & Stephen Gallagher (Puppet Killer) have released the first soundtrack album for the New Zealand TV series Mystic. The album features selections of the composers’ original music from the show and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Mystic is created by Amy Shindler & Beth Chalmers based on Stacy Gregg’s Pony Club Secrets book series and stars Macey Chipping, Antonia Robinson, Max Crean, Jacqueline Joe, Josh Tan, Hatty Walton, Laura Patch, Kiwis Cathy Downes, Phil Brown, Kirk Torrance, Carrie Green, Jonny Brugh, Bruce Phillips and Tioreore Ngatai-Melbourne. The drama follows a group of horse-mad teenagers who have to risk everything in order to save their horses, their community and all they love about where they live.

The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here. The Luminaries is written by Eleanor Catton based on his 2013 Man Booker Prize-winning novel, directed by Claire McCarthy and stars Eva Green, Himesh Patel, Eve Hewson, Ewen Leslie and Marton Csokas. The drama produced by Working Title Television and Southern Light Films is set in the 1860s during the gold rush and revolves around a woman who travels from Britain to New Zealand in search of a new life.
