Varese Sarabande has announced a soundtrack album for Atom Egoyan’s 2013 thriller Devil’s Knot. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, The Good Dinosaur, Moneyball, Capote, The Ice Storm). Devil’s Knot is directed by Egoyan and stars Colin Firth, Reese Witherspoon, Amy Ryan, Mireille Enos, Stephen Moyer, Alessandro Nivola and Dane DeHaan. The movie is based on Mara Leveritt’s bestselling book West Memphis Three and tells the true story of three teenagers who were wrongly convicted of murdering three boys in 1993 in West Memphis, Arkansas.

The details of the soundtrack album for Atom Egoyan’s dramatic thriller Remember have been announced. The album features the film’s original music written by Academy Award-winning composer Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Little Miss Sunshine, Moneyball, The Good Dinosaur). The soundtrack will be released on January 15, 2016 by Varese Sarabande and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Remember stars Christopher Plummer, Martin Landau, Dean Norris, Bruno Ganz, Jurgen Prochnow, Heinz Lieven and Henry Czerny. The movie follows a man who is sent on a mission to avenge a horror from the darkest chapter of modern history after it is discovered that the Nazi guard who murdered his family some 70 years ago is now living in America.

The soundtrack will be released on November 20, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Dan Romer, Christophe Beck & Tom Holkenborg Win Hollywood Music in Media Awards
Last night, the 6th Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMAA) were handed out at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, CA. Dan Romer was awarded for his score for Cary Fukunaga’s critically acclaimed Netflix original movie Beasts of No Nation in the Best Original Score – Feature Film category. Tom Holkenborg was honored for his music for George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road in the Original Score – Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film and thanked fellow nominees Christophe Beck and Harry Gregson-Williams for giving him his first jobs in the industry during his acceptance speech. Christophe Beck received his second HMMA for his work for The Peanuts Movie in the Best Score – Animated Film category. In addition, Miriam Cutler won the prize for her music for The Hunting Ground in the Original Score – Documentary category.

Jeff Danna Co-Scoring Pixar’s ‘The Good Dinosaur’
Jeff Danna has joined his brother Mychael Danna to co-score Pixar Animation Studios’ upcoming feature The Good Dinosaur. The film is directed by Peter Sohn and features the voices of Raymond Ochoa, Jack Bright, Frances McDormand, Jeffrey Wright, Sam Elliott, Anna Paquin, Marcus Scribner, A.J. Buckley and Steve Zahn. The movie is set in a world where dinosaurs have never become extinct and follows a young dinosaur who loses himself after falling into a river, sweeping him far away from his home. Denise Ream (Cars 2) is producing the project and John Lasseter serves as an executive producer. The composers’ music is being recorded this week in Los Angeles.
Deepa Mehta’s ‘Beeba Boys’ to Feature Music by Mychael Danna, Manjeet Ral & Biggi Hilmars
Mychael Danna, Manjeet Ral and Biggi Hilmars are composing the music for the upcoming drama Beeba Boys. The film is written and directed by Deepa Mehta (Earth, Fire) and stars Randeep Hooda, Ali Momen, Sarah Allen, Waris Ahluwalia, Gulshan Grover, Balinder Johal, Ali Kazmi, Steve Dhillon, Jag Bal, Gabe Grey and Paul Gross. The movie follows a ruthless Sikh mobster who leads his soldiers into a turf war for control of the Vancouver drugs- and arms-trafficking rackets. David Hamilton (Midnight’s Children) is producing the project.

20th Century Fox Television Records has released a soundtrack album for the FX original series Tyrant. The album features selections from the film’s Emmy Award-nominated original score composed by Academy Award winner Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Capote) and Jeff Danna (The Boondock Saints, Silent Hill), including the Emmy-nominated main titles theme. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Tyrant is created by Gideon Raff and stars Adam Rayner, Jennifer Finnigan, Ashraf Barhom, Noah Silver, Moran Atias, Anne Winters, Salim Daw, Justin Kirk, Fares Fares, Jordana Spiro, Mehdi Dehbi and Alice Krige.
