Mark Isham is composing the original score for the upcoming Disney+ original movie Togo. The film is directed by Ericson Core (Point Break) and stars Willem Dafoe, Thorbjorn Harr and Michael Gaston. The adventure drama is set in 1925 during what the Nome Serum Run, when dog sleds transported diphtheria serum over nearly 700 miles to save Nome, Alaska, from an epidemic, and centers on the unlikely friendship between sled dog Togo and his driver. Tom Flynn (Gifted) wrote the screenplay. Kim Zubick (The Zookeeper’s Wife) is producing the project.

‘Cloak & Dagger’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Details
Marvel Music & Hollywood Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Freeform original series Cloak & Dagger. The album features a selection of songs from the show’s second season by artists including lead actor Aubrey Joseph (feat. Dan Hening), The Seige, Thutmose, Marmozets, Zayde Wolf, Bohnes, Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, Delhia de France & others. Also included are two tracks from the series’ original score composed by Mark Isham (a full score album for Season 2 has been released earlier this month). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 24 and will be available to download here. The labels have previously released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from Season 1.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the action sequel John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum directed by Chad Stahelski and starring Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Mark Dacascos, Anjelica Huston, Jason Mantzoukas and Ian McShane. The film’s original music is composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, 300, Watchmen, The Punisher) & Joel J. Richard (John Wick 1 & 2). ‘A Dog’s Journey’ Soundtrack Details
Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the drama A Dog’s Journey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, The Accountant, A River Runs Through It, Quiz Show, 42) and featuring piano solos by Emily Bear. Also included is the original song Fearless by Abby Anderson. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, May 17 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A Dog’s Journey is directed by Gail Mancuso and stars Kathryn Prescott, Betty Gilpin, Dennis Quaid, Henry Lau, Marg Helgenberger and Josh Gad as the voice of dog Bailey.

Opening in most theaters is the animated feature UglyDolls directed by Kelly Asbury and starring Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Blake Shelton, Janelle Monae, Wanda Sykes, Emma Roberts, Gabriel Iglesias, Wang Leehom and Pitbull. The film’s original score is composed by Christopher Lennertz (Lost in Space, Horrible Bosses, Sausage Party) who also co-wrote most of the film’s original songs with Glenn Slater (Tangled, Galavant). Also opening wide is the romantic comedy Long Shot directed by Jonathan Levine and starring Seth Rogen, Charlize Theron, Andy Serkis, June Diane Raphael, Ravi Patel, Bob Odenkirk and Alexander Skarsgård. Marco Beltrami (Logan, A Quiet Place, Scream, World War Z, 3:10 to Yuma) & Miles Hankins (The Night Before, Len and Company) have composed the film’s original score. Season 2 of Cloak & Dagger developed by Joe Pokaski based on the Marvel Comic characters created by Bill Mantlo & Ed Hannigan and starring Olivia Holt, Aubrey Joseph, Andrea Roth, Gloria Reuben, Miles Mussenden, Carl Lundstedt, Emma Lahana, Jaime Zevallos and J.D. Evermore currently airs Thursday nights on Freeform.
Mark Isham Scoring Gail Mancuso’s A Dog’s Journey’
Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, A River Runs Through It, The Accountant, Fly Away Home) is scoring the upcoming family drama A Dog’s Journey. The film is directed by Gail Mancuso and stars Marg Helgenberger, Betty Gilpin, Henry Lau, Kathryn Prescott, Dennis Quaid, as well as Josh Gad as the voice of the title character. The movie is the sequel to 2017’s A Dog’s Purpose (scored by Rachel Portman) follows dog Bailey as he finds his new destiny and forms an unbreakable bond that will lead him, and the people he loves, to places they never imagined.
‘Megan Leavey’ Soundtrack to Be Released
MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the drama Megan Leavey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (A River Runs Through It, Crash, Once Upon a Time, Cloak & Dagger, The Accountant, Miracle). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 7 (click here to download the album and check out audio samples). A CD version is in the works from Quartet Records. Megan Leavey is directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite and stars Kate Mara, Edie Falco, Ramón Rodríguez, Bradley Whitford and Common. The movie tells the story of a young Marine who turned her life around by enlisting in the K9 unit, where she was teamed with an aggressive combat dog.
Mark Isham to Reteam with John Ridley on ‘Needle in a Timestack’
Composer Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, A River Runs Through It, The Accountant) is reteaming with John Ridley on the upcoming time travel drama Needle in a Timestack. The film is written and directed by Ridley (12 Years a Slave, Guerrilla) and stars Orlando Bloom, Freida Pinto, Leslie Odom Jr., and Cynthia Erivo. The movie is based on a short story by Robert Silverberg and follows a couple struggling to hold their marriage together in a world where time travel is possible, and the past and present are ever fluctuating. Zanne Devine (Easy A), David Thwaites (What to Expect When You’re Expecting, Miss Potter), Aaron L. Gilbert (Tully, A Single Shot) and Matt Kennedy are producing the BRON Studios production.
Soundtrack Album for ‘Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams’ Released
Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the sci-fi anthology series Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams. The album features the music from the series, including the main title theme composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (The Martian, The Chronicles of Narnia), as well as the composer’s score for the episodes The Commuter (for which he received an Emmy Award nomination) and The Father Thing. Also included is the music for three episodes composed by Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, 10 Cloverfield Lane), two episodes by Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Utopia), one episode by Ólafur Arnalds (Broadchurch), as well as two episodes by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It), one of which he co-scored with BT (The Fast & the Furious, Monster). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples.
