The full details of the second soundtrack album for Lucasfilm’s Disney+ series Star Wars: The Bad Batch have been revealed. The album features selections of the original music from Episodes 9-16 of the show’s first season composed by Kevin Kiner (Star Wars: The Clone Wars & Rebels, Narcos: Mexico, Doom Patrol, Titans, CSI: Miami, Hell on Wheels, City on a Hill). The Volume 2 soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 20 by Walt Disney Records and will be available to stream/download here. A first album featuring the composer’s music from the first episodes was released back in June. Clint Mansell & Kevin Kiner to Score HBO Max’s ‘Peacemaker’
Writer/director James Gunn has revealed that composers Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, The Fountain, Moon) & Kevin Kiner (Star Trek: The Clone Wars & Rebels, CSI: Miami) are teaming up to co-score the upcoming HBO Max original series Peacemaker. The show is developed and directed by Gunn based on his upcoming feature The Suicide Squad (scored by John Murphy) and the character created by Joe Gill & Pat Boyette and stars John Cena in the title role. Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma and Chukwudi Iwuji are co-starring in the series, which will explore the origins of the Peacemaker character, a man who believes in peace at any cost – no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.

Premiering in the U.S. today is the historical drama series Domina created by Simon Burke and starring Kasia Smutniak, Liam Cunningham, Colette Tchantcho, Claire Forlani, Christine Bottomley, Nadia Parkes, Ben Batt, Matthew McNulty and Isabella Rossellini. The show’s original music is composed by Samuel Sim (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Halcyon, The Spanish Princess, Home Fires). Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Mrs. Wilson, The Pale Horse, Lost Girls, Calibre, Untouchable, This Beautiful Fantastic) has composed the show’s original music. SATV has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last fall when the drama premiered in the UK on Sky Atlantic. Kevin Kiner, Sean Kiner & Dean Kiner Scoring Netflix’s ‘Trese’
Kevin Kiner (Star Wars: The Clone Wars & Rebels, CSI: Miami, Hell on Wheels, Making a Murderer), Sean Kiner & Dean Kiner (Single Parents) are the composers of the new Netflix anime series Trese. The show is based on the Philippine graphic novel created by Budjette Tan & KaJO Baldisimo and features the voice talent of Shay Mitchell, Liza Soberano, Jon Jon Briones, Darren Criss, Manny Jacinto, Dante Basco, Nicole Scherzinger, Lou Diamond Phillips and Steve Blum. The series is set in Manila, where dark supernatural forces pervade the criminal underworld and follows the title character as she tries to keep the peace.

Premiering tonight is the third season of the Starz anthology series The Girlfriend Experience written and directed by Anja Marquardt (based on Steven Soderbergh’s feature of the same title) and starring Julia Goldani Telles. Matthew Pusti (A Good Woman Is Hard to Find, Whistleblower) has composed the original music for Season 3 and follows Shane Carruth and the Mondo Boys who scored the first two seasons. The third season, which is set amidst the London tech scene and follows a neuroscience major who begins to explore the transactional world of The Girlfriend Experience, only to find herself deep inside the uncanny valley with the relationships she creates, will air Sunday nights on Starz.
Premiering on Tuesday, May 4, is Lucasfilm’s Disney+ original series Star Wars: The Bad Batch created by Dave Filoni and starring Dee Bradley Baker, Ming-Na Wen, Stephen Stanton and Andrew Kishino. The show’s original music is composed by Kevin Kiner (Narcos: Mexico, Doom Patrol, CSI: Miami, Titans, City on a Hill, Making a Murderer) who previously scored all episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (and the feature of the same title) and Star Wars Rebels. The other contenders in the category were Mychael Danna & Jeff Danna for Onward, Steven Price, Christopher Curtis, Marjorie Duffield & Helen Park for Over the Moon, Mark Mothersbaugh, Alessia Cara, Jon Levine, Colton Fisher for The Willoughbys and Bruno Coulais for Wolfwalkers.
Kevin Kiner to Return for ‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’
Kevin Kiner is returning to score to score Lucasfilm’s upcoming Disney+ animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch. The show follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. The project is executive produced by Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian), Athena Portillo (Star Wars Resistance), Brad Rau and Jennifer Corbett. Rau also serves as the supervising director and Corbett serves as head writer.
Soundtrack Albums for DC Universe’s ‘Doom Patrol’ to Be Released
WaterTower Music will release the first two soundtrack albums for the DC Universe original series Doom Patrol. The albums feature selections of the original music from the show’s first two seasons composed by Clint Mansell (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, Moon, The Fountain) and Kevin Kiner (Star Wars Rebels & The Clone Wars, Titans, Narcos: Mexico).
