Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original movie Shimmer Lake. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Insurgent, Allegiant, Straight Outta Compton, Quantico). The soundtrack will be released digitally on Friday, June 23. Check back on this page for the download link. Shimmer Lake is written and directed by Oren Uziel and stars Benjamin Walker, Rainn Wilson, Rob Corddry, John Michael Higgins, Wyatt Russell, Ron Livingston, and Adam Pally. The crime thriller is told in reverse time and centers around a local sheriff hunting three bank robbery suspects, one of whom is his brother.

Joseph Trapanese to Score Joseph Kosinski’s ‘Granite Mountain’
Joseph Trapanese is reteaming with director Joseph Kosinski on the upcoming action drama Granite Mountain. The film’s cast includes Miles Teller, Josh Brolin, Jeff Bridges, Ben Hardy, Jennifer Connelly, Taylor Kitsch, Andie MacDowell, Natalie Hall, James Badge Dale and Scott Haze. The movie tells the true story of the elite crew of men who battled a wildfire in Prescott, Arizona in June 2013 that claimed the lives of 19 of their members. Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers series, Salt, Deepwater Horizon) is producing the project with Erik Howsam, Jeremy Steckler (Army of One), Dawn Ostroff, Mike Menchel (One Chance), Molly Smith (Demolition), Trent Luckinbill & Thad Luckinbill (Sicario).
Joseph Trapanese Tapped as New Composer for ABC’s ‘Quantico’
Joseph Trapanese has taken over scoring duties on the ABC drama Quantico. He is scoring the show starting with the third episode of the second season, which premieres tonight. Joel J. Richard (John Wick) has previously scored the first season and first two episodes of the current season. Quantico is created by Joshua Safran and stars Priyanka Chopra, Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Braddy, Russell Tovey, Pearl Thusi and Blair Underwood. The series executive produced by Safran, Mark Gordon, Robert Sertner, Jorge Zamacona and Nicholas Pepper follows a group of young FBI recruits, all with specific reasons for joining, who battle their way through training at the Quantico base in Virginia.

Expected to top the weekend box office is the dramatic thriller The Girl on the Train directed by Tate Taylor and starring Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Luke Evans, Allison Janney, Edgar Ramirez, Lisa Kudrow and Laura Prepon. Joseph Trapanese Scoring Amazon’s ‘Jean-Claude Van Johnson’
Joseph Trapanese has composed the score for the pilot episode of the upcoming Amazon original series Jean-Claude Van Johnson. The show stars Jean-Claude Van Damme as a global martial arts and film sensation who is operating under the simple alias of “Johnson,” the most dangerous undercover private contractor in the world. Kat Foster, Moises Arias and Phylicia Rashad are co-starring. Van Damme is also executive producing the Scott Free production with Peter Atencio (Keanu, Key and Peele), Ridley Scott (Gladiator, The Martian, Alien) and David W. Zucker (The Good Wife, The Man in the High Castle, Mercy Street).

Joseph Trapanese is scoring the new Freeform original series Dead of Summer. The show is created by Adam Horowitz & Edward Kitsis (Lost, Once Upon a Time) and Ian Goldberg (The Autopsy of Jane Doe) and stars Elizabeth Mitchell, Elizabeth Lail, Mark Indelicato, Alberto Frezza, Eli Goree, Ronen Rubinstein, Amber Coney and Paulina Singer. The drama is set in the late 80s at Camp Clearwater, a seemingly idyllic Midwestern summer camp, when Clearwater’s dark, ancient mythology awakens and what was supposed to be a summer of fun turns into one of unforgettable scares and evil at every turn.
Joseph Trapanese to Score ‘Jadotville’ and ‘Shimmer Lake’
Joseph Trapanese has signed on to score the upcoming war thriller Jadotville. The film is directed by Richie Smyth and stars Jamie Dornan, Guillaume Canet, Jason O’Mara and Mark Strong. The movie tells the true story of Irish Commandant Pat Quinlan who led a stand off with troops against French and Belgian Mercenaries in the Congo during in the early 1960s. Kevin Brodbin (Constantine, Mindhunters) has written the screenplay based on a novel by Declan Power. Alan Moloney (The Escapist, Albert Nobbs, Byzantium) is producing the project for Parallel Films.
