Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1966 horror/sci-di drama Seconds directed by John Frankenheimer and starring Rock Hudson, Salome Jens, Will Geer and John Randolph. The album features the remastered, restored and (slightly) expanded original score from the Paramount Pictures production composed by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Chinatown, Planet of the Apes, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Papillon, Basic Instinct, L.A. Confidential, Poltergeist), as well as the source music for the movie’s cocktail sequence. ‘Star Trek Collection – The Final Frontier’ Soundtrack Album Announced
La-La Land Records has announced the album Star Trek Collection- The Final Frontier, a new 4-CD set featuring previously unreleased music from Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise. The first disc includes “lost cues” from Star Trek: The Motion Picture written by Jerry Goldsmith (but never recorded) and performed by Joe Kraemer (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Jack Reacher), as well as music from The Next Generation composed by Dennis McCarthy and Jay Chattaway. The second disc includes previously unreleased music from Deep Space Nine written by McCarthy, Chattaway, David Bell and Paul Baillargeon. The third disc features tracks from Voyager composed by Chattaway & Bell and the fourth disc includes selections of music from Enterprise written by McCarthy, Baillargeon, Bell, Kevin Kiner and Velton Ray Bunch.

Jerry Goldsmith’s ‘Black Patch’ & ‘The Man’ Scores to Be Released
Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album featuring the world premiere of two early scores composed by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Poltergeist, Planet of the Apes, L.A. Confidential, The Mummy, Chinatown, Papillon): the 1957 western (and the composer’s first theatrical feature) Black Patch directed by Allen Miner and starring George Montgomery, Leo Gordon, Sebastien Cabot, Diane Brewster, as well as the 1972 drama The Man directed by Joseph Sargent and starring James Earl Jones. Both scores have been newly recorded with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra led by William T. Stromberg.

Tora! Tora! directed by Richard Fleischer, Toshio Masuda & Kinji Fukasaku and starring Martin Balsam, Joseph Cotten, So Yamamura, James Whitmore and E.G. Marshall. The 2-CD set features Goldsmith’s Ace Eli score in mono, as well as additional music with contributions from Alexander Courage on the first disc, and the content of La-La Land’s previous Tora! Tora! Intrada Records has announced the world premiere release of the unused original score by Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Omen, Planet of the Apes, Patton, Air Force One, The Mummy) from the 1992 crime thriller The Public Eye directed by Howard Franklin and starring Joe Pesci, Barbara Hershey, Stanley Tucci and Jerry Adler.
