The show is directed by Allen Hughes and explores the life and legacy of hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur and his mother, the Black Panther activist Afeni Shakur. The 5-parter features archival footage and intimate conversations with those closest to the subjects.

Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album for Onyx Collective’s Hulu original series UnPrisoned. The album features the show’s original score composed by Grammy Award-winning music producers and songwriters Jam & Lewis (aka Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis). Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the soundtrack. UnPrisoned is created by Tracy McMillan and stars Kerry Washington, Delroy Lindo, Marque Richardson, Faly Rakotohavana and Jordyn McIntosh. The comedy revolves around a relationship therapist and single mom whose life is turned right-side-up when her dad gets out of prison and moves in with her and her teenage son.
Will Bates Scoring FX’s ‘Class of ’09’
Will Bates (The Magicians, Away, I Origins, Unbelievable, The Path, The Looming Tower, Bliss) has recently been scoring the upcoming FX limited series Class of ’09. The show is created by Tom Rob Smith (American Crime Story, MotherFatherSon) and stars Brian Tyree Henry, Kate Mara, Sepideh Moafi, Jon Jon Briones, Brian J. Smith, Jake McDorman, Brooke Smith and Rosalind Eleazar. The 8-part thriller follows a class of FBI agents set in three distinct points in time who grapple with immense changes as the U.S. criminal justice system is altered by artificial intelligence.

The series, which centers on an obsessive friendship and maternal paranoia, premiered in the UK last year on BBC One and is making its U.S. debut on Hulu.
Premiering on Wednesday, April 12, is the second season of the Freeform original series Single Drunk Female created by Simone Finch and starring Sofia Black-D’Elia, Ally Sheedy, Sasha Compere, Lily Mae Harrington, Ian Gomez and Garrick Bernard. Tony Kanal (Purple Hearts) (of the bands No Doubt and Dreamcar) is the new composer of the show. ‘Tiny Beautiful Things’ Soundtrack Album Details
Hollywood Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Hulu limited series Tiny Beautiful Things. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, Gabriel Mann (A Million Little Things, Modern Family, High School Musical: The Musical – The Series) and Juan Ariza. Also included is the song Not Gone by Michaelson, her cover of Indigo Girls’ Closer to Fine, as well as Ruby Amanfu’s cover of The Beach Boys’ God Only Knows and Ellen Winter’s rendition of Paper Roses. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 7 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music platforms. Tiny Beautiful Things is created by Liz Tigelaar based on Cheryl Strayed’s best-selling collection and stars Kathryn Hahn, Sarah Pidgeon, Quentin Plair and Tanzyn Crawford.
Marcelo Zarvos Scoring Calmatic’s ‘White Men Can’t Jump’ Remake
Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, Emancipation, Ray Donovan, The Affair, The Good Shepherd) has composed the original score for the upcoming Hulu original movie White Men Can’t Jump. The film is directed by Calmatic (House Party) and stars Sinqua Walls, Jack Harlow, Lance Reddick, Laura Harrier, Teyana Taylor, Vince Staples, Tamera ‘Tee’ Kissen, Myles Bullock and Dazeran Jones. The sports comedy is a remake of Ron Shelton’s 1992 feature of the same title (scored by Bennie Wallace) about an unlikely pair of basketball hustlers who team up to con their way across the courts of Los Angeles.

Premiering in the U.S. today is the Norwegian limited series War Sailor, a new version of last year’s feature of the same title, written and directed by Gunnar Vikene and starring Kristoffer Joner, Pål Sverre Hagen and Ine Marie Wilmann. The show’s original music is composed by Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Lion, Hotel Mumbai, Adrift, The Old Guard). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last December. The details of the second soundtrack album for DreamWorks Animation’s TV series Abominable and the Invisible City have been revealed. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by George Shaw (Escape the Night, Little Sorcerer). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 31 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released an album featuring the composer’s music from Season 1 last year. Abominable and the Invisible City is developed by Katherine Nolfi based on DreamWorks Animation’s 2019 feature Abominable and stars Chloe Bennet, Tenzing Trainor, Michelle Wong, Alan Cumming, Ethan Loh, Darin De Paul and Karen Huie.
