Fil Eisler has composed the music for the upcoming AMC original series Dietland. The show is created by Marti Noxon and stars Joy Nash, Julianna Margulies, Adam Rothenberg, Rowena King, Mya Taylor and Mark Tallman. The drama is based on Sarai Walker’s 2015 novel of the same name and takes a loot at society’s obsession with weight loss and fashion as seen through the eyes of those who work in the beauty industry. Noxon is also executive producing the AMC Studios and Skydance Television production with David Ellison (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation), Dana Goldberg & Marcy Ross (Jack Ryan), Maria Grasso, Bonnie Curtis (Minority Report, A.I. Artificial Intelligence) & Julie Lynn (Life, Passengers) and Jacqueline Hoyt.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the family movie Paddington 2 directed by Paul King and starring Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Hugh Grant, Brendan Gleeson, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Imelda Staunton and Ben Whishaw. The film’s original score is composed by Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, Kubo and the Two Strings, Darkest Hour). Also opening wide is the thriller The Commuter directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and starring Liam Neeson, Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Jonathan Banks, Elizabeth McGovern and Sam Neill. Roque Banos (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead, The Machinist, Risen, Oldboy, Sexy Beast) has composed the film’s original music. ‘Proud Mary’ Soundtrack Details
Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album for the action thriller Proud Mary. The album features the film’s original music composed by Fil Eisler (Empire, Revenge, How to Be Single, CHiPs, To the Bone, Unreal). The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 12 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Proud Mary is directed by Babak Najafi and stars Taraji P. Henson, Billy Brown, Jahi Di’Allo Winston and Danny Glover. The movie follows a hit woman working for an organized crime family in Boston, whose life is completely turned around when she meets a young boy whose path she crosses when a professional hit goes bad.

Fil Eisler has been hired to score the upcoming action thriller Proud Mary. The film is directed by Babak Najafi (London Has Fallen, Easy Money II: Hard to Kill) and stars Taraji P. Henson, Billy Brown, Jahi Di’Allo Winston and Danny Glover. The movie follows a hit woman working for an organized crime family in Boston, whose life is completely turned around when she meets a young boy whose path she crosses when a professional hit goes bad. John Stuart Newman & Christian Swegal and Steven Antin (Burlesque, Gloria) wrote the screenplay.

The film’s original music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Jurassic World, Doctor Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Trek) who previously scored Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. ‘Newtown’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Newtown. The album features the film’s original music composed by Fil Eisler (Empire, Revenge, How to Be Single, CHiPs) who assembled a team of composers to contribute music to the project, including Blake Neely (The Flash, Arrow), Christopher Lennertz (Sausage Party, Horrible Bosses), Deborah Lurie (Dear John, 9), George S. Clinton (Austin Powers series), Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome), Jeff Danna (The Boondock Saints, Storks), Rob Simonsen (Gifted, Nerve), Robert Duncan (Castle, Timeless), Sean Callery (24, Homeland), Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, 300), Christopher Drake (Tusk, Yoga Hosers), Dino Meneghin (Teen Wolf), Gingger Shankar (Circumstance), Miriam Cutler (The Hunting Ground), Mark Renk and Mikael Sandgren. ‘CHiPs’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the action comedy CHiPs. The album features the film’s original score composed by Fil Eisler (Empire, Revenge, How to Be Single, Shameless, UnReal). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 31 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. CHiPs is directed by Dax Shepard who also stars in the movie with Michael Pena, Kristen Bell, Rosa Salazar, Adam Brody, Jane Kaczmarek and Vincent D’Onofrio. The movie based on the classic TV series follows two California Highway Patrol motorcycle officers as they make their rounds on the freeways of Los Angeles.
Fil Eisler to Score Ben Falcone’s ‘Life of the Party’
Fil Eisler has signed on to score the upcoming comedy Life of the Party. The film is directed by Ben Falcone (Tammy, The Boss) and stars Melissa McCarthy, Julie Bowen, Maya Rudolph, Gillian Jacobs, Jacki Weaver, Debby Ryan, Luke Benward and Matt Walsh. No plot details have been announced yet. McCarthy and Falcone also co-wrote the screenplay and are producing the New Line Cinema production with Chris Henchy (Daddy’s Home, Get Hard). Mike Disco (Horrible Bosses) and David Siegel (The Hangover) serve as executive producers.
Fil Eisler to Score Marti Noxon’s ‘To the Bone’
Fil Eisler has been hired to score the upcoming comedy To the Bone. The film marks the feature directorial debut of writer Marti Noxon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Fright Night, I Am Number Four) and stars Lily Collins, Keanu Reeves, Carrie Preston, Lili Taylor, Alex Sharp and Liana Liberato. The movie follows a 20-year old woman who is battling her severe anorexia and enters a group recovery home. Noxon also wrote the screenplay inspired by her own experiences with anorexia. Julie Lynn (Albert Nobbs, Mother and Child, Last Days in the Desert) and Bonnie Curtis (Minority Report, A.I. Artificial Intelligence) are producing the project for Mockingbird Pictures, alongside Karina Miller for Sparkhouse Media.
