Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the action comedy CHiPs. The album features the film’s original score composed by Fil Eisler (Empire, Revenge, How to Be Single, Shameless, UnReal). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 31 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. CHiPs is directed by Dax Shepard who also stars in the movie with Michael Pena, Kristen Bell, Rosa Salazar, Adam Brody, Jane Kaczmarek and Vincent D’Onofrio. The movie based on the classic TV series follows two California Highway Patrol motorcycle officers as they make their rounds on the freeways of Los Angeles.

Fil Eisler to Score Dax Shepard’s ‘CHiPs’
Fil Eisler has been tapped to score the upcoming movie adaptation of the classic television series CHiPs. The film is written and directed by Dax Shepard and stars himself as highway patrolman Jon Baker, alongside Michael Pena as Frank “Ponch” Poncherello, as well as Kristen Bell, Rosa Salazar, Adam Brody, Jane Kaczmarek and Vincent D’Onofrio. The action comedy follows two California Highway Patrol motorcycle officers as they make their rounds on the freeways of Los Angeles. Andrew Panay (Wedding Crashers, Earth to Echo, When in Rome) is producing the project alongside Shepard’s Primate Pictures company (Hit and Run).
‘Outrun’ to Feature Music by Julian Wass and Robert Mervak
Julian Wass and Robert Mervak are writing the music for the upcoming romantic action comedy Outrun. The film is directed by Dax Shepard and David Palmer. Shepard has also has written the screenplay and stars in the movie as a former getaway driver living in the Witness Protection Program who breaks out of anonymity in order to drive his girlfriend cross-country to Los Angeles only to find himself chased by cops and his former gang members. Kristen Bell, Bradley Cooper, Tom Arnold, Beau Bridges, Kristin Chenoweth, David Koechner, Michael Rosenbaum, Joy Bryant and Ryan Hansen are also starring in the film. Andrew Panay (Wedding Crashers, Van Wilder), Nate Tuck (Brother’s Justice), Kim Waltrip and Jim Casey are producing the project.
