Walt Disney Records has released the opening theme song from the new Disney+ animated series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. The track written by series composer Kurt Farquhar (Black Lightning, The King of Queens) & Gerald ‘Gee Gee’ Harbour and performed by Joyce Wrice is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Also check out the music video after the jump. A full soundtrack album featuring more songs from the show is expected to be released soon. The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is created by Bruce W. Smith and features the voices of Kyla Pratt, Tommy Davidson, JoMarie Payton, Paula Jai Parker, Cedric the Entertainer, Alisa Reyes, Karen Malina White and Soleil Moon Frye.

Batu Sener Scoring Disney+’s ‘Ice Age: Scrat Tales’
Batu Sener has composed the original score for the upcoming Disney+ animated shorts series Ice Age: Scrat Tales. John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, The Bourne Identity, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Happy Feet) has contributed the end titles track for the show starring Chris Wedges as the voice of Scrat and Karl Wahlgren as Baby Scrat. The six shorts revolve around the hapless saber-toothed squirrel of the Ice Age adventures who experiences the ups and downs of fatherhood, as he and the mischievous Baby Scrat, alternately bond with each other and battle for ownership of the highly treasured Acorn.
Disney+’s ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ TV Series to Feature Theme by John Williams
Variety has confirmed that John Williams has recorded a theme for the upcoming Disney+ limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi. The composer has recorded the theme last week with a Los Angeles orchestra. The show is written by Joby Harold (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Underground), directed by Deborah Chow (The High Cost of Living) and stars Ewan McGregor in the title role and Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. They are joined by Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie. The 6-part drama takes place ten years after events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat – the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Nicholas Britell to Score Disney+’s ‘Rogue One’ Prequel Series ‘Andor’
Nicholas Britell (Succession, Moonlight, If Beale Street Could Talk, Don’t Look Up, Cruella, Vice, The Big Short, The Underground Railroad) has been tapped to score the upcoming Disney+ original series Andor. The show is developed by Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton) and stars Diego Luna who will reprise his role of Cassian Andor from 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, as well as Stellan Skarsgard, Denise Gough, Fiona Shaw and Kyle Soller. The Lucasfilm production takes place five years before the events of Rogue One. No plot details have been announced yet.
‘Rise Up, Sing Out’ Soundtrack Album Details
Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the Disney Junior short-form animated series Rise Up, Sing Out. The album features the original songs from the show written and produced by Ahmir ‘”Questlove” Thompson and Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter (of the Grammy Award winning musical group The Roots) who also appear in the series as animated characters. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 4. Check back on this page for the streaming/download link. Rise Up, Sing Out executive produced by Questlove, Black Thought & Latoya Raveneau follows a group of neighborhood friends of multiple ethnicities and tells eight stories that directly reflect the realities of the world kids live in today.

‘The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild’ Soundtrack Album Details
Batu Sener has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the animated feature The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild. The album features the film’s original music composed by Sener who has incorporated John Powell’s themes from Ice: Age: The Meltdown and & Dawn of the Dinosaurs into his score. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, January 28 by Hollywood Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild is directed by John C. Donkin and features the voice of Simon Pegg, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Justina Machado, Vincent Tong and Aaron Harris.
Details for ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ Volume 1 (Chapters 1-4) Soundtrack Album Revealed
The full details of the first soundtrack album for Lucasfilm’s Disney+ original series The Book of Boba Fett have been revealed. The Volume 1 album features the music from the first four chapters of the show, including the musical themes composed by Academy Award and Grammy Award winner Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, The Mandalorian, Tenet, Creed, Community, Venom) and selections of the original score written by Joseph Shirley (The Mysterious Benedict Society, Bad Trip, Fairfax). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 21 by Walt Disney Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. A second volume featuring the music from the final three episodes will be coming out on February 11. Göransson’s main title theme has previously been released as a digital single last month. The Book of Boba Fett is created by Jon Favreau and stars Temuera Morrison, Ming-Na Wen, Matt Berry, Jennifer Beals, David Pasquesi and Carey Jones.

Caitlin Yeo (Danger Close, The Rocket, The Butterfly Tree) will release a soundtrack album will be released for the documentary Playing with Sharks: The Valerie Taylor Story. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and will be released digitally tomorrow, January 20 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Playing with Sharks is directed by Sally Aitken and centers on Valerie Taylor, a living legend and icon in the underwater world whose life’s work has become the basis for much of what we know about sharks today. The Wildbear Entertainment production presented by National Geographic Films follows the ocean explorer’s trajectory from champion spearfisher to passionate shark protector and features underwater archival footage, along with interviews with Valerie herself.

Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, Shrek, The Martian, The Last Duel, Kingdom of Heaven, Mulan, Man on Fire, The Equalizer) has recently scored the upcoming Disneynature documentary Polar Bear. The film is directed by Alastair Fothergill (Planet Earth, David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet) & Jeff Wilson (The Mating Game) and narrated by Catherine Keener. The movie tells the story of a new mother whose memories of her own youth prepare her to navigate motherhood in the increasingly challenging world that polar bears face today.
