Batu Sener has composed the original score for the upcoming Disney+ animated shorts series Ice Age: Scrat Tales. John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, The Bourne Identity, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Happy Feet) has contributed the end titles track for the show starring Chris Wedges as the voice of Scrat and Karl Wahlgren as Baby Scrat. The six shorts revolve around the hapless saber-toothed squirrel of the Ice Age adventures who experiences the ups and downs of fatherhood, as he and the mischievous Baby Scrat, alternately bond with each other and battle for ownership of the highly treasured Acorn.

‘The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild’ Soundtrack Album Details
Batu Sener has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the animated feature The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild. The album features the film’s original music composed by Sener who has incorporated John Powell’s themes from Ice: Age: The Meltdown and & Dawn of the Dinosaurs into his score. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, January 28 by Hollywood Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild is directed by John C. Donkin and features the voice of Simon Pegg, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Justina Machado, Vincent Tong and Aaron Harris.
Batu Sener Scoring Disney+’s ‘Ice Age: Adventures of Buck Wild’
Batu Sener is currently recording his score for the upcoming animated feature Ice Age: Adventures of Buck Wild. The film stars Simon Pegg as the voice of the title character (who appeared in the Ice Age features Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Continental Drift and Collision Course) and follows Buck Wild as he goes go on a new adventure in the Dinosaur World, alongside Crash and Eddie. No other casting announcements have been made yet for the 20th Century Animation production. Sener has previously contributed additional music to several scores by composer John Powell, including How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, The Call of the Wild and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Powell has scored the second, third and fourth installment in the Ice Age feature series, while David Newman scored the original 2002 film and John Debney composed the music for the fifth installment.
Varese Sarabande to Release ‘Ice Age: Collision Course’ Soundtrack
Varese Sarabande will release the official soundtrack album for the animated sequel Ice Age: Collision Course. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2). John Debney to Score ‘Ice Age: Collision Course’
John Debney has been hired to score the upcoming animated feature Ice Age: Collision Course. The film is directed by Mike Thurmeier (Ice Age: Continental Drift) and features the voices of Ray Romano, Denis Leary, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Simon Pegg, Keke Palmer, Wanda Sykes, Jennifer Lopez, Stephanie Beatriz, Adam DeVine, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Max Greenfield, Jessie J, Nick Offerman, Melissa Rauch, Michael Strahan and Neil deGrasse Tyson. In the fifth part of the series, Scrat sparks a new series of cosmic events that threaten the Ice Age world with a potentially apocalyptic meteor shower.
John Powell Confirmed to Score ‘The Lorax’
A press release from Universal Pictures has confirmed this week that John Powell is writing the music for the upcoming animated feature The Lorax. The film based on the book by Dr. Seuss centers around a boy who searches for a way to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. He comes across the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world. The film’s voice talent includes Danny DeVito, Ed Helms, Taylor Swift, Zac Efron, Rob Riggle and Betty White. The movie is directed by Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul (writers of Horton Hears a Who! and Despicable Me), as well as Chris Renaud (co-director of Despicable Me). The Lorax is the third feature from Illumination Entertainment after last year’s surprise hit Despicable Me (with music by Heitor Pereira and Pharrell Williams) and the upcoming Hop (scored by Christopher Lennertz). Powell has previously scored Blue Sky Studios’ Horton Hears a Who!, which was produced by Illumination founder Chris Meledandri and was also based on a Dr. Seuss book.
