Hollywood Records will release the official soundtrack album for the drama Behemoth! The album features the film’s original music composed by The Behemoth! Collective, including composers Michael Abels (Get Out, Us), Emily Bear (Moana 2, Dog Gone), Lukas Frank (East of Wall), Michael Giacchino (Up, The Incredibles), James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, The Fugitive), Henry Jackman (X-Men: First Class, Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Nami Melumad (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Dream Productions), Brandon Roberts (Andor, Thanksgiving) and Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump). Multi-Composer Approach for Tony Gilroy’s ‘Behemoth!’ Revealed
Searchlight Pictures has revealed more details about the music for Tony Gilory’s upcoming drama Behemoth!. The movie features numerous fictional sources of music in the film, including two Peter Serian (a French horn player, played by Hank Azaria, who, in the wake of his father’s death, abandoned his classical aspirations to become a successful, albeit bitter, composer) title themes, a solo cello practice Etude, and four “invented” feature films that are being scored. As previously reported, nine composers, credited as The Behemoth! Collective, have contributed original music to the movie. They recorded their respective original scores at the Sony Pictures Scoring Stage, the Newman Scoring Stage at Fox, as well as at Los Angeles’ EastWest Studios.

The film is written and directed by Tony Gilory (Michael Clayton, The Bourne Legacy) and stars Pedro Pascal, Olivia Wilde, Eva Victor, Kaya Ralls, Alexa Swinton, Erik Griffin, Margarita Levieva, Jobeth Williams, Hank Azaria and Will Arnett.The movie follows a gifted cellist who returns home to Los Angeles after twenty years on the road. Music, which has been the constant, all-consuming river of his life, begins to carry him on an adventure that will change him forever.
Nicholas Britell to Score Disney+’s ‘Rogue One’ Prequel Series ‘Andor’
Nicholas Britell (Succession, Moonlight, If Beale Street Could Talk, Don’t Look Up, Cruella, Vice, The Big Short, The Underground Railroad) has been tapped to score the upcoming Disney+ original series Andor. The show is developed by Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton) and stars Diego Luna who will reprise his role of Cassian Andor from 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, as well as Stellan Skarsgard, Denise Gough, Fiona Shaw and Kyle Soller. The Lucasfilm production takes place five years before the events of Rogue One. No plot details have been announced yet.
James Newton Howard to Score Dan Gilroy’s ‘Nightcrawler’
James Newton Howard has signed on to score the upcoming indie thriller Nightcrawler. The film marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Dan Gilroy (Real Steel, Two for the Money) and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, Bill Paxton, Riz Ahmed and Kevin Rahm. The movie tells the story of a driven young man who discovers the nocturnal world of L.A. freelance crime journalism. Gilroy has also written the screenplay and is producing the project with Jennifer Fox (We Need to Talk About Kevin, The Informant!), Michel Litvak & David Lancaster (Drive, Legion) for Bold Films and his brother brother, Tony. Howard has previously scored Tony Gilroy’s last three features, including Michael Clayton, Duplicity and The Bourne Legacy. Nightcrawler is currently in post-production. Open Road Films has picked up domestic distribution rights for the thriller.

Cinema Musica has published audio clips from all tracks on the soundtrack release for Tony Gilroy’s action thriller The Bourne Legacy. The album features the film’s score composed by James Newton Howard who previously collaborated with the director on Michael Clayton and Duplicity. The album features the film’s original score composed by James Newton Howard. Also included is a new version of Moby’s song Extreme Ways, which has been featured in all of the previous three films in the Bourne series. The soundtrack will be released on July 31, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips will be added to this article in a couple of weeks. The Bourne Legacy starring Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach, Albert Finney, Scott Glenn and Joan Allen will be released on August 10, 2012 by Universal Pictures.

The label has previously released the soundtracks for The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy, both of which featured music by John Powell. James Newton Howard has been tapped to score the action thriller The Bourne Legacy. The film stars Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton and Stacy Keach. Albert Finney, Scott Glenn and Joan Allen are reprising their roles from the previous parts of the series. The project marks the composer’s first score for the franchise. The previous three installments have been scored by John Powell. The fourth Bourne movie is written and directed by Tony Gilroy who was involved as a writer on the previous movies in the series and has previously worked with Newton Howard on his first two directorial efforts Michael Clayton and Duplicity.
