David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Out of Sight, Killing Eve, Haywire, Logan Lucky, Analyze That) has recently scored the new Sky limited series This England. The show is co-written and directed by Michael Winterbottom (A Mighty Heart, The Road to Guantanamo) and stars Kenneth Branagh as Boris Johnson and Ophelia Lovibond as Carrie Symonds. The 6-part drama is based on Boris Johnson’s tumultuous first months as Prime Minister and traces the impact on the country of the first wave of the Coronavirus pandemic.
David Holmes Scoring Neil Jordan’s ‘Marlowe’
David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Killing Eve, Out of Sight, Haywire, Analyze That, No Sudden Move) has composed the original score for the upcoming crime thriller Marlowe. The film is directed by Neil Jordan (Interview with the Vampire, The Crying Game) and stars Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, Jessica Lange, Danny Huston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Alan Cumming, Ian Hart and Colm Meaney. The movie is set in 1930s Los Angeles and follows the titular private detective who is hired to find the ex-lover of a glamorous heiress, daughter of a well-known movie star.

David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Out of Sight, Killing Eve, Haywire, No Sudden Move, Analyze That) is the composer of the new Irish TV series Kin. The show is created by Peter McKenna (Red Rock) & Ciarán Donnelly (Harley and the Davidsons, Titanic: Blood and Steel) and stars Charlie Cox, Clare Dunne, Aidan Gillen, Ciarán Hinds, Sam Keeley, Emmett J. Scanlan, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Hannah Adeogun and Yasmin Seky. The crime drama charts the lives of a small but tight-knit crime family embroiled in a war against a powerful drug kingpin.

Opening in most theaters is the animated feature The Boss Baby: Family Business directed by Tom McGrath and starring Alec Baldwin, Jeff Goldblum, Ariana Greenblatt, Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy Kimmel, Eva Longoria, James Marsden and Amy Sedaris. ‘No Sudden Move’ Soundtrack Album Details
WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the HBO Max original film No Sudden Move. The album features the movie’s original music composed by David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Out of Sight, Killing Eve, Haywire, London Spy, Analyze That). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 2 and will be available to stream/download here. No Sudden Move is directed by Steven Soderbergh and stars Don Cheadle, Benicio del Toro, David Harbour, Jon Hamm, Ray Liotta, Kieran Culkin, Brendan Fraser, Amy Seimetz and Julia Fox. The crime thriller is set in 1954 Detroit and revolves around a group of small-time criminals who are hired to steal what they think is a simple document when their plan goes horribly wrong.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British mini-series Death and Nightingales adapted and directed by Allan Cubitt and starring Matthew Rhys, Jamie Dornan and Ann Skelly. The show’s original music is composed by David Holmes (Ocean’s 11, Out of Sight, Haywire, Killing Eve, Logan Lucky, Ordinary Love, Analyze That) and Gerry Diver (Pixie). The 3-part drama, which tells a story of love, betrayal and revenge set in the haunting countryside of Northern Ireland in 1885, premiered in the UK in 2018 on BBC Two (and in Ireland on RTÉ One) and is making its U.S. debut on Starz.
Also premiering tonight is the Starz original series Run the World created by Leigh Davenport and starring Bresha Webb, Amber Stevens West, Corbin Reid, Tonya Pinkins, Andrea Bordeaux, Stephen Bishop, Tosin Morohunfola, Erika Alexander, Jay Walker and Nick Sagar. Robert Glasper (The Photograph, Miles Ahead) & Derrick Hodge are composing the show’s original music. David Holmes & Gerry Diver Scoring Barnaby Thompson’s ‘Pixie’
David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Out of Sight, Killing Eve, Haywire) and Gerry Diver have teamed up to co-score the upcoming British comedy thriller Pixie. The film is directed by Barnaby Thompson (St. Trinian’s, An Ideal Husband, Easy Virtue) and stars Olivia Cooke, Ben Hardy, Daryl McCormack, Colm Meaney and Alec Baldwin. The movie follows a woman who seeks to avenge her mother’s death by masterminding a heist, but soon finds herself on the run across the Irish countryside with two young men who are being chased by two deadly gangster priests. Preston Thompson (Kids in Love) wrote the screenplay.
