WaterTower Music has released a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series The Sandman. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second and final season composed by David Buckley (The Good Wife, Papillon, The Forbidden Kingdom, Nobody, Angel Has Fallen, Evil, Greenland, The Stranger). The label has previously released an album featuring Buckley’s music from Season 1 back in 2022. The Sandman is developed Neil Gaiman, Allan Heinberg & David S. David Buckley Scoring CBS’ ‘Elsbeth’ Pilot
David Buckley (Nobody, Papillon, Angel Has Fallen, The Forbidden Kingdom, Kandahar) is returning to score the new CBS drama Elsbeth. The composer has scored the pilot episode of the show created by Robert & Michelle King and starring Carrie Preston who reprises her role of Elsbeth Tascioni from the network’s The Good Wife and its spinoff The Good Fight, as well as Wendell Pierce, Carra Patterson and guest star Stephen Moyer. Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us, Only Murders in the Building) is scoring the rest of the season, which follows the title character, an unconventional attorney who utilizes her singular point of view to make unique observations who – after leaving her successful legal career in Chicago – takes on a new investigative role in New York City.

Premiering tomorrow, January 1, is the British Netflix limited series Fool Me Once based on Harlan Coben’s bestselling novel and starring Michelle Keegan, Adeel Akhtar, Joanna Lumley, Richard Armitage, Dino Fetscher, Emmett J. Scanlan and Joe Armstrong. The show’s original music is composed by David Buckley (The Sandman, The Good Wife, Nobody, Papillon, The Stranger, Angel Has Fallen, Greenland, The Forbidden Kingdom) & Luke Richards (Stay Close, Six Four). Premiering on Thursday is the Netflix original series The Brothers Sun created by Brad Falchuk & Byron Wu and starring Michelle Yeoh, Justin Chien, Sam Song Li, Highdee Kuan and Joon Lee. Nathan Matthew David (Young Rock, Joy Ride, Chang Can Dunk, Deadly Class, The Last Word, Stephen Curry: Underrated, Slice) and Nick Lee (Grand Crew) have composed the show’s original music. David Buckley & Luke Richards Scoring Netflix’s ‘Fool Me Once’
David Buckley (The Sandman, The Good Wife, Papillon, Nobody, Angel Has Fallen, The Forbidden Kingdom,Greenland) & Luke Richards (Six Four) have teamed up to score the upcoming British Netflix limited series Fool Me Once. The show is based on Harlan Coben’s bestseller and stars Michelle Keegan, Adeel Akhtar, Richard Armitage, Joanna Lumley, Emmett J. Scanlan, Dino Fetscher and Joe Armstrong. The 8-part crime thriller follows an ex-soldier who uncovers a deadly conspiracy that stretches into the past after she sees her murdered husband on a secret nanny cam.
‘Kandahar’ Soundtrack to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the action thriller Kandahar. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Buckley (The Sandman, The Good Wife, Nobody, Angel Has Fallen, Papillon, The Forbidden Kingdom). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, June 9 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Kandahar is directed by Ric Roman Waugh and stars Gerard Butler, Ali Fazal, Navid Negahban and Travis Fimmel. The movie follows an undercover CIA operative in a hostile territory in Afghanistan who must fight his way out, alongside his Afghan translator, to an extraction point in Kandahar after his mission is exposed.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid directed by Rob Marshall and starring Halle Bailey, Jonah Hauer-King, Melissa McCarthy, Javier Bardem, Jacob Tremblay, Daveed Diggs and Awkwafina. The film’s original score is composed by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Enchanted) and the movie’s songs are written by Menken, Howard Ashman and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Walt Disney Records has released two soundtrack albums: a regular edition featuring all the songs and five tracks from Menken’s score (click here for the full details) and a deluxe edition featuring the songs and Menken’s full score (click here for more information).
Also opening wide is the action comedy The Machine directed by Peter Atencio and starring Bert Kreischer, Mark Hamill, Stephanie Kurtzuba, Jimmy Tatro, Jess Gabor and Iva Babić. Joseph Trapanese (The Witcher, Oblivion, Shadow and Bone, The Greatest Showman, Straight Outta Compton) has composed the film’s original music. He is composing the original music for the second season of the show developed by Peter Moffat based on the Israeli series Kvodo and starring Bryan Cranston, Hunter Doohan, Hope Davis, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Michael Stuhlbarg, Sofia Black D’Elia, Benjamin Flores Jr. and Carmen Ejogo.
David Buckley Scoring Ric Roman Waugh’s ‘Kandahar’
Composer David Buckley (The Sandman, The Good Wife, The Forbidden Kingdom, Nobody, Papillon, The Stranger) is reteaming with director Ric Roman Waugh on the upcoming action thriller Kandahar. The film starring Gerard Butler, Navid Negahban, Ali Fazal, Travis Fimmel & Elnaaz Norouzi follows an undercover CIA operative who is stuck deep in hostile territory in Afghanistan and must fight his way out when his mission is exposed. Waugh (Shot Caller, Snitch) also wrote the screenplay with Mitchell LaFortune.
Choral Version of David Buckley’s ‘The Sandman’ Main Title Theme Released
WaterTower Music has released a choral version of the main title theme from the Netflix original series The Sandman. The track written by the show’s composer David Buckley (The Good Wife, Papillon, Nobody, Evil, The Forbidden Kingdom) and performed by the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon.
