Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the FX limited series Dying for Sex. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Ariel Marx (Shiva Baby, Candy, Sanctuary, Happy Face, A Small Light, The Tale, A Friend of the Family). Dying for Sex is created by Kim Rosenstock & Elizabeth Meriwether based on Nikki Boyer’s Wondery’s Podcast and stars Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, Jay Duplass, Kelvin Yu, Rob Delaney, Esco Jouléy, David Rasche and Sissy Spacek. The comedy follows a woman who receives a diagnosis of Stage IV metastatic breast cancer and decides to leave her husband to explore the full breadth of her sexual desires for the first time in her life.

The full composer lineup for the seventh season of the Netflix anthology series Black Mirror has been revealed. Matthew Herbert (Disobedience, A Fantastic Woman, The Wonder, Gloria Bell, The Responder) & Lucinda Chua (Zona) have composed the music for the episode Euology directed by Chris Barrett & Luke Taylor, written by Charlie Brooker & Ella Road and starring Paul Giamatti & Patsy Ferran about an isolated man who is introduced to a groundbreaking system that allows its users to literally step inside old photographs.

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Paramount+ original series Happy Face. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Emmy Award nominee Ariel Marx (Shiva Baby, A Small Light, Candy, Sanctuary, A Friend of the Family, Dying for Sex, The Tale). Also included is the song The Devil’s Bid by Hilary McCormack. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 28 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Happy Face is created by Jennifer Cacicio inspired by the Happy Face true-crime podcast and stars Annaleigh Ashford, Dennis Quaid, James Wolk, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne and Benjamin Mackey. The 8-part crime drama tells the true-life story of Melissa G. Moore and her incarcerated father, known as the Happy Face Killer, who finds a way to force himself back into the life of her daughter after years of no contact.

The show is inspired by the Happy Face true-crime podcast and stars Annaleigh Ashford, Dennis Quaid, James Wolk, Khiyla Aynne, Tamera Tomakili and Benjamin Mackey. The 8-part crime drama is based on the the true-life story of Melissa G. Moore and her incarcerated father, known as the Happy Face Killer who – after decades of no contact – finally finds a way to force himself back into the life of her daughter who must find out if an innocent man is going to be put to death for a crime her father committed.
Ariel Marx Scoring Barbara Miller’s & Philip Delaquis’ ‘Wisdom of Happiness’
Ariel Marx (Shiva Baby, Sanctuary, Candy, A Small Light, A Friend of the Family, The Tale) has recently scored the upcoming documentary Wisdom of Happiness. The film is directed by Barbara Miller & Philip Delaquis and features the 14th Dalai Lama, born Tenzin Gyatso, who officially became the spiritual leader of Tibet at age 4 in 1940, speaking directly to the camera about the universal quest for inner peace and happiness and the potential for a peaceful and happy 21st century. In addition to an interview with the Dalai Lama, the movie also includes unpublished and newly restored archival footage from the Tibetan government archives.

Sea Level Music has released a soundtrack album for the psychological horror drama Birth/Rebirth. The album features the film’s original score composed by Emmy Award nominee Ariel Marx (A Small Light, Sanctuary, Shiva Baby, Candy, A Friend of the Family, The Tale). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Birth/Rebirth is co-written and directed by Laura Moss and stars Marin Ireland, Judy Reyes, A.J. Lister and Breeda Wool. The movie revolves around a single mother and a childless morgue technician who are bound together by their relationship to a little girl they have reanimated from the dead.
