Premiering tonight is the HBO original series  The Chair Company created by Tim Robinson & Zach Kanin and starring Robinson himself, Lake Bell, Sophia Lillis, Joseph Tudisco and Will Price. The show’s original music is composed by Keegan DeWitt (Hearts Beat Loud, A Teacher, I’ll See You in My Dreams, The Threesome, Divorce, Morris from America, Sorry for Your Loss, The Hero, Love Again). Premiering tomorrow, October 13, is the CBS comedy DMV developed by Dana Klein based on a short story by Katherine Heiny and starring Harriet Dyer, Tony Cavalero, Tim Meadows, Alex Tarrant, Molly Kearney and Gigi Zumbado. Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, A Million Little Things, Emily in Paris, Rectify, Rosewood, Better Nate Than Never, High School Musical: The Musical – The Series) is composing the show’s original music. ‘The Last Frontier’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Platoon will release a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ original series The Last Frontier. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Ariel Marx (Dying for Sex, Shiva Baby, Candy, Sanctuary, A Small Light, A Friend of the Family, Happy Face, Birth/Rebirth, The Tale). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, October 10 and will be available to stream on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Listen to the composer’s main title track (Classical Gas) after the jump and check back on this page for the streaming/download link. The Last Frontier is created by Jon Bokenkamp & Richard D’Ovidio and stars Jason Clarke, Dominic Cooper, Haley Bennett, Simone Kessell, Dallas Goldtooth, Tait Blum and Alfre Woodard. The 10-part thriller follows a U.S. marshal who finds his peaceful territory overrun by a sudden flood of dangerous convicts when a prison transport plane goes down in the remote Alaskan barrens.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British miniseries Brian and Maggie written by James Graham, directed by Stephen Frears and starring Steve Coogan, Harriet Walter, Paul Clayton, Tom Mothersdale and Ivan Kaye. The show’s original music is composed by Murray Gold (Doctor Who, Gentleman Jack, Torchwood, Dead Ringers, A Very English Scandal, Moonflower Murders, It’s a Sin, Quiz). The 2-parter, which follows politician-turned-journalist Brian Walden and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher as they sit for one of the most famous political exchanges of all time in 1989, premiered in the UK this past January on Channel 4 and is making its U.S. debut on PBS as part of Masterpiece.

Also premiering tonight is the PBS Masterpiece series Maigret developed by Patrick Harbinson based on Georges Simenon’s bestselling novels and starring Benjamin Wainwright, Stefanie Martini, Blake Harrison, Kerrie Hayes, Reda Elazouar, Shaniqua Okwok, Rob Kazinsky and Nathalie Armin. Uele Lamore (The Balconettes, The Apology, Above Water) has composed the show’s original music. The crime drama, which follows the Chief Inspecto and his team of maverick but loyal detectives as they solve a series of complex crimes in Paris, will air in the U.S. every Sunday night on PBS.

Ariel Marx (Shiva Baby, Dying for Sex, Candy, Sanctuary, A Small Light, A Friend of the Family, Happy Face, The Tale) has composed the original score for the upcoming psychological thriller The Hand That Rocks the Cradle. The film is directed by Michelle Garza Cervera (Huesera: The Bone Woman) and stars Maika Monroe, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Raúl Castillo, Mileiah Vega, Martin Starr, Riki Lindhome and Shannon Cochran. The movie is a reimagining of Curtis Hanson’s 1992 feature of the same title (scored by Graeme Revell) and revolves around a nanny who starts to work for a suburban couple, but it soon becomes clear that she’s got a very ulterior motive.

Ariel Marx (Dying for Sex, Shiva Baby,  Sanctuary, A Small Light, Happy Face, Birth/Rebirth, The Tale) is scoring the upcoming Hulu limited series Murdaugh: Death in the Family. The show is created by Michael D. Fuller (Quarry) & Erin Lee Carr (I Love You, Now Die, Mommy Dead and Dearest) inspired by the popular Murdaugh Murders Podcast and stars Jason Clarke, Patricia Arquette, Johnny Berchtold, Will Harrison, Brittany Snow and J. Smith-Cameron. The 8-part crime drama tells the story of Maggie & Alex Murdaugh who enjoy a lavish life of privilege as members of one of South Carolina’s most powerful legal dynasties as they are faced with a test unlike any they’ve ever encountered when their son is involved in a deadly boat crash.

Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Black Mirror episode Hotel Reverie. The album features the Emmy Award-nominated original score from the episode composed by Ariel Marx (Dying for Sex, Candy, Sanctuary, Shiva Baby, A Small Light, Birth/Rebirth, A Friend of the Family, The Tale). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Selections of the composer’s score have previously released as part of the Black Mirror Season 7 soundtrack album. Hotel Reverie is directed by Haolu Wang, written by Charlie Brooker and stars Emma Corrin, Issa Rae, Awkwafina and Harriet Walter.

The show is created by Jon Bokenkamp (The Blacklist, Taking Lives) and Richard D’Ovidio (The Call, Exit Wounds), and stars Jason Clarke, Dominic Cooper, Haley Bennett, Dallas Goldtooth, Simone Kessell, Tait Blum and Alfre Woodard. The 10-part thriller follows the lone U.S. marshal in charge of the quiet, rugged barrens of Alaska whose jurisdiction is turned upside-down when a prison transport plane crashes in the remote wilderness, setting free dozens of violent inmates.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action thriller Shadow Force co-written and directed by Joe Carnahan and starring Kerry Washington, Omar Sy, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Mark Strong and Da’Vine Joy Randolph. The film’s original music is composed by Craig DeLeon (Strange Darling, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey, A Man in Full, Fatal Attraction, End of the Road, Velma, Music, Big Vape: The Rise and Fall of Juul). Also opening wide is the action thriller Fight or Flight directed by James Madigan and starring Josh Hartnett, Katee Sackhoff, Marko Zaror, Charithra Chandran and Julian Kostov. Paul Saunderson (Trying, Love at First Sight, Three Identical Strangers, Starfish, The More You Ignore Me, Picture This, The Grand Duke of Corsica) has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as a song performed by Stephen Warwick this past March when the movie premiered in the UK.
