The only new movie opening in theaters nationwide this week is the action comedy Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard directed by Patrick Hughes and starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, Antonio Banderas, Morgan Freeman, Frank Grillo, Caroline Goodall, Rebecca Front, Gabriella Wrigh and Richard E. Grant. The the film’s original music is composed by Atli Örvarsson (Defending Jacob, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, The Edge of Seventeen, The Eagle, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga). Opening in around 500 theaters is the documentary The Sparks Brothers directed by Edgar Wright about brothers/bandmates Ron and Russell Mael and their overlooked rock band Sparks. The film’s doesn’t feature an original score. Gary Welch serves as the project’s music supervisor. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack EP featuring three songs by the band from their 2018 London performance, as well alyric read by Neil Gaiman today.
