Contemporary Media Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the British fantasy horror thriller To Tokyo. The album features the film’s original music composed by Trevor Jones (The Dark Crystal, The Last of the Mohicans, Excalibur, Mississippi Burning, Cliffhanger, Labyrinth, Merlin, Dark City). The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 27, 2021 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. To Tokyo is directed by Caspar Seale Jones and stars Florence Kosky, Emily Seale-Jones and Luke Edward Smith. Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the sports comedy Space Jam: A New Legacy directed by Malcolm D. Lee and starring LeBron James, Don Cheadle, Sonequa Martin-Green, Khris Davis, Cedric Joe, Eric Bauza, Jeff Bergman and Zendaya. The film’s original score is composed by Kris Bowers (Green Book, Bridgerton, When They See Us, Mrs. America, Dear White People). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today (click here for the full album details). Republic Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie last week (click here for more information). The comedy is now also available to stream on HBO Max.
Also opening wide is the thriller sequel Escape Room: Tournament of Champions directed by Adam Robitel and starring Taylor Russell, Logan Miller, Indya Moore, Holland Roden, Thomas Cocquerel and Carlito Olivero. Brian Tyler (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Fast & Furious, Iron Man 3, Crazy Rich Asians, Yellowstone, Thor: The Dark World) & John Carey. have composed the film’s original music. Ré Olunuga to Score Disney+’s ‘Greek Freak’

Nigerian composer Ré Olunuga (Up North, Coming from Insanity) has signed on to score the upcoming Disney+ original film Greek Freak. The movie is directed by Akin Omotoso (Vaya) and stars Uche Agada, Yetide Badaki and Dayo Okeniyi. The drama is inspired by the true story of NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s life and his family who through faith, determination, and their unbreakable bond, would unite to lift themselves out of a life of poverty as undocumented immigrants living in Greece. Arash Amel (A Private War, The Titan) wrote the screenplay and Bernie Goldmann (300, Fool’s Gold) is producing the project. Read the rest of this entry »

Milan Records will release the official soundtracks for the new Apple TV+ original series Schmigadoon! The show’s original songs are written by Cinco Paul who also co-created by the musical comedy. Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, Veep, The Personal History of David Copperfield, Mickey Mouse) has composed the original score.
