Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the British comedy drama Downton Abbey: A New Era directed by Simon Curtis and starring Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Maggie Smith, Michelle Dockery, Penelope Wilton, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Phyllis Logan, Joanne Froggatt, Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock and Dominic West. The film’s original music is composed by John Lunn (Jamestown,The Last Kingdom, Grantchester, Shetland, Belgravia) who previously scored the all episodes of the Downton Abbey TV series and the first movie adaptation. Also opening wide this week is the horror drama Men written and directed by Alex Garland Garland and starring Jessie Buckley, Rory Kinnear and Paapa Essiedu. Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow (Ex Machina, Devs, Annihilation, Luce, Hanna, Archive 81, Free Fire) have composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore & Invada Records have released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score today.
