La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1996 comedy The First Wives Club directed by Hugh Wilson and starring Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn, Diane Keaton, Maggie Smith, Dan Hedaya, Bronson Pinchot and Marcia Gay Harden. The album features the expanded and remastered original Academy Award-nominated original score from the Paramount Pictures release composed by Marc Shaiman (Hairspray, A Few Good Men, Mary Poppins Returns, Sister Act, City Slickers, Misery, The Addams Family), including previously unreleased music. The full details of the soundtrack album for Pixar Animation Studios’ feature Lightyear have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, The Incredibles, Star Trek, Ratatouille, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Inside Out, The Batman, Jurassic World). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, June 17 by Walt Disney Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. A first track (Mission Perpetual) is already available now. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1983 crime drama Scarface directed by Brian De Palma, written by Oliver Stone and starring Al Pacino. The 2-CD set features the world premiere release of the film’s original score composed by Giorgio Moroder (Flashdance, Midnight Express, American Gigolo, Queen of the South, Over the Top, Cat People) on the first disc and the content of the original 1983 soundtrack album (featuring songs by Deborah Harry, Paul Engemann, Elizabeth Daily, Amy Holland & others), as well as source music, extended versions of Rush, Rush and Scarface (Push It To The Limit) and the song Success (performed by Joe Esposito) on the second disc. The album, which is limited to 5,000 copies, is being released as part of the Universal Pictures Film Music Classics Collection and will available to order tomorrow, June 14, at 12:00pm on La-La Land’s official website.
